Etc., and from then on, Śakra, etc., do not abide in the idea that form is permanent in a clinging manner, etc., and also Śāriputra, etc., up to the way of non-attachment, in order, they are warmth, peak, forbearance, and supreme worldly dharma. Furthermore, if those that correspond to the definitive distinguishing aspects of the Śrāvakas, are those Śrāvaka's? Because those are cultivated for the sake of the noble path of the Śrāvakas, they are called the path of the Śrāvakas. The path of the Pratyekabuddha should be spoken of, the distinction of its occasion is from then on, the retinue, etc., and the postscript of what Subhūti said, and up to the postscript of 'The Bhagavan is profound wisdom' after that. The word means the teaching. The remainder is the explanation. Speech is language. Complete expression is the collection of words. Saying is expression, that is, by the collection of complete expression. Explaining is within the retinue. The Bhagavan is to those of the same kind. Even one letter means just one letter. Not spoken means not taught to others like a rhinoceros horn. That is, it is not permissible to hear in the last existence. Those that cannot be known are by the power of hearing. Letter means for the sake of self-manifest enlightenment without teaching. Prajñāpāramitā means the noble path like a rhinoceros horn. No Bhagavan means no teacher. Not needed means not needing to be taught by others. Because of the power of profound wisdom, it is said that there are no letters, etc., because it does not arise from the teaching, and because there is no teaching to others, there are no letters. What is the reason for that? Sons of the gods, Tathāgata, etc., Tathāgata is because of understanding suchness. Arhat is like a rhinoceros horn. Samyaksaṃbuddha is because of abandoning the conceptual thought of grasping. Bodhi is the wisdom that has become the fruit. In order to indicate that wisdom with an example, it starts from 'for example'. Subhūti, that is...

Up to the point of saying "it is." How wonderful! Venerable Subhuti, this is like a rhinoceros horn, illuminating the path for us. As soon as one thinks this, the profound and subtle path leads to the wisdom of enlightenment, which is extremely profound and subtle. The teaching of this is the profundity of wisdom itself. Then, from "Venerable Subhuti" and so on, up to "there is no speaking, no hearing, no teaching," it is said that form and so on are neither profound nor subtle, because they are empty in nature. The imputation of form, that is, the establishment, does not exist, because it is empty in nature. Thus, those like rhinoceros horns have abandoned the conceptualization of the object to be grasped. Then, from "the sons of the gods" and so on, up to "cannot be made into two," these are spoken of. Although they have realized the selflessness of self, because they are imputed as sentient beings in the aggregates and so on, hearing sentient beings and Dharma is like illusion and so on. For external forms and so on, it is also like illusion and so on, because their characteristics do not exist as they are. Thus, those like rhinoceros horns have not abandoned the conceptualization of the grasper. Then, in this teaching, those who seek meaning and those who do not seek meaning, as appropriate. Venerable Subhuti was questioned by the six venerable ones and by hundreds of thousands of billions of sons of the gods. Who seeks meaning? It is desire. The profound is difficult to realize. The inconceivable is known only by each individual. That which is not the object of thought is beyond the path of thought. The subtle is because all the elaborations of conceptualization are pacified. The wise are the cause of being wise in realizing all dharmas as they truly are. The difficult to see is not the object of the five aggregates of consciousness. The difficult to realize is not the object of mental consciousness. The peaceful is because all defilements are pacified. The excellent is because all suffering is pacified. That which is most excellent among all dharmas is the most excellent. That which is to be known by the wise and intelligent is to be known by the non-returning and so on.
