Non-cowardice, which is having no cowardice in the mind; even if all possessions are given away, there is no unhappiness; even if poor, beggars are not abandoned. Like this, through these twelve dharmas, the sixth bhumi is attained. Grasping at self and sentient beings, grasping at life and the person, annihilation and permanence, grasping at signs, causes, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, attachment to the three realms, clinging to the mind as permanent, to the Three Jewels and ethics, attachment to views there, discouragement with emptiness, and faults contrary to that, completely severing from these twenty faults, one attains the seventh bhumi. Knowing the three doors of liberation, the three spheres being completely pure, compassion and no contempt, knowing dharmas as equal and of one nature, knowing non-arising and forbearance, showing all dharmas as one, destroying all thoughts, abandoning perception, views, and afflictions, definitely contemplating quiescence, being skilled in insight, taming the mind, and for all things, having unobstructed wisdom, not a place of attachment, going equally to other buddhafields wherever desired, and the essence of all self-nature, being emptiness, and twenty. In this, after the second word of "twenty," adding "completely perfect" is supplementary. Being completely severed from the stains of the twenty faults such as grasping at self, and the twenty qualities such as understanding the three doors of liberation being completely perfect, one will attain the seventh bhumi, this is the meaning of the summary. Grasping is manifest clinging, its object is from self and so on up to the sense bases. "Permanent" refers to the seventy-two non-Buddhist schools, with their assemblies as primary. The Three Jewels are the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, observing there is observing the Buddha's teachings and so on. Manifest clinging to that is abiding. Discouragement is weariness. Contrary to that is acting inconsistently with emptiness. "Equal" means the same. Grasping at self, grasping at sentient beings, grasping at life, grasping at the person, grasping at annihilation, grasping at permanence, grasping at signs, grasping at causes, grasping at aggregates.

Grasping at realms, grasping at sources, abiding in the three realms, being attached to the three realms, relying on the three realms, abiding in seeing the Buddha as real, abiding in seeing the Dharma as real, abiding in seeing the Sangha as real, abiding in seeing discipline as real, disparaging the Dharma of emptiness, and contradicting emptiness are said to be the meaning of pointing out faults. Perfecting emptiness, directly realizing the signless, knowing the wishless, purifying the three spheres, loving all sentient beings, not despising them, seeing all dharmas as equality, truly realizing, knowing the unborn forbearance, teaching all dharmas in one way, destroying all discriminations, reversing the view of phenomena as real, reversing afflictions, definitely contemplating quiescence, being skilled in insight, taming the mind, possessing unobstructed wisdom in everything, not being a place of attachment, going to any field one desires, and truly showing oneself within the Buddha's retinue are said to be the meaning of pointing out qualities. Knowing the minds of all beings, cherishing them with supernormal powers, accomplishing pure Buddha-fields, relying on the Buddha for complete examination. Knowing the faculties and the Victorious One's, purifying the field, dwelling like an illusion, taking birth according to one's wish, these eight actions are explained. Among them, "good" means completely pure, and is used in conjunction with the word "accomplishment." The word "eight kinds" indicates that there are only eight ways to completely purify, namely, following the minds of all sentient beings, cherishing them with supernormal powers, accomplishing Buddha-fields, relying on the Buddha and completely examining them as one, knowing superior and non-superior faculties, completely purifying Buddha-fields, repeatedly entering into the illusory samadhi, and taking birth according to one's wish. There are two kinds of Buddha-fields: first, the vessel world,
