Through meditation, one abandons what is to be abandoned, therefore, the Noble Eightfold Path is meditated upon as three aggregates. Among them, right view, right thought, and right effort are the aggregate of wisdom. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are the aggregate of ethical conduct. Right mindfulness and right concentration are the aggregate of concentration. The noble ones are the learners. They cultivate this path of the noble learners in order to abandon all defilements and to realize liberation. Therefore, these (eightfold path) are the eight limbs of the noble ones, hence the Noble Eightfold Path. These are the mindfulness and so on, divided into seven categories each, and become thirty-seven factors conducive to enlightenment. Enlightenment is the wisdom of knowing cessation and non-arising. What is in accordance with it is the factors conducive to enlightenment. The so-called three samadhis are the three doors of liberation: the self-characterized, completely imputed, because its nature is permanently non-existent, therefore it is emptiness. The self-nature of the perfectly established is inexpressible, therefore it is signless, so it is signless. The nature of dependence on others is delusion, because it appears as a non-existent nature. The root of delusion is also affliction, therefore it is to be abandoned, not to be desired, so it is wishless. The eleven knowledges are as the sutra says: knowing that suffering does not arise is knowing that the arising of suffering does not arise. The so-called knowing abandonment is abandoning the nature of the origin, afflictions, etc., that is knowing it. The so-called knowing the cessation of suffering is knowing the cessation of suffering. To realize cessation, through which path does one realize cessation, that is the knowledge of it, through this one can cease suffering. Knowing the exhaustion of desire and so on is knowing exhaustion. Knowing the non-arising of desire and so on is knowing non-arising. Knowing the realization of liberation is knowing the Dharma. Knowing impermanence and so on through inference is subsequent knowing.

Because it is solely focused on the completely imputed, knowing the minds of others is conventional wisdom. Familiarity with the path is habituation to the path. Knowing sounds as they are is knowing the languages of all beings such as the Tathagatas, gods, and humans. The three faculties are as stated in the sutra, because they are the possessors of pure dharmas, they are faculties. Whichever faculty has the ability to make everything unknown known, that is what it is called. The faculty of omniscience and the faculty of guarding omniscience are the faculties endowed with omniscience. The so-called "absence of appearance" is because the four inversions of the Hearers and others do not appear, and also because all the marks of proliferation of the Bodhisattvas have ceased, so they only focus on the nature of reality. Subduing arrogance is for subduing afflictions as appropriate. The three samadhis, together with conceptualization and analysis, are as stated in the sutra. The ten recollections, such as the Buddha, are as stated in the sutra. Meditation and the formless are shown as the practice of entering. The immeasurables are also like the immeasurables in the practice of entering. The eight liberations are: 'One with form contemplates forms, this is the first liberation.' 'Internally perceiving formlessness, one contemplates external forms, this is the second liberation.' 'Auspicious liberation' is the third liberation. These three are pure because they become the antidote to the obscuration of impurity. Among them, the first two are impure, and the third is pure. Some yogis, in the desire realm, in order to counteract attachment to colors and so on, first enter into samadhi focused on internal sounds and so on, and then below that, focus on external blue and so on, and enter the first dhyana. In order to counteract attachment to colors and so on in the first dhyana, the entry into the second dhyana is shown. The so-called 'one with form contemplates forms' is called 'one with form' because it focuses on internal form. It is called 'contemplating form' because it focuses on external form. For the yogi, not focusing on the internal

You focus solely on external objects, and like before, you also enter the first or second dhyana. This is called viewing external forms because you perceive that there is no internal form. Similarly, by meditating on ugliness, you should be pleased that the mind's continuum is subdued, or, when you consider pleasant forms as unpleasant, focusing on pleasant forms to awaken whether attachment to colors, etc., will arise, and entering the fourth dhyana is called delighting in impurity. These are the three liberations of form. There are five formless liberations, from the liberation of the sphere of infinite space to the liberation called the cessation of perception and feeling. Among them, the purity of the four formless realms, such as the sphere of infinite space, is a liberation because it is the antidote to the obscuration of tasting its flavor, and it is also called quiescence. The cessation of perception and feeling also abides in accordance with liberation. Relying on the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, the mind and mental factors are eliminated, and because its obscuration has been abandoned, it is a liberation and is also called quiescence. The nine successive abidings are the four dhyanas, the four formless attainments, and the cessation of perception and feeling. The ten powers of the Tathagata are the power of knowing what is and is not the case, the power of knowing the maturation of karma, the power of knowing various realms, the power of knowing various aspirations, the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties, the power of knowing the path to all destinations, the power of knowing the defilement, purification, and arising of dhyana, liberation, samadhi, and samapatti, the power of knowing the recollection of past lives, the power of knowing death and birth, and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. The characteristics of these are as in the order of the sutras. Also, abiding in the place.
