The eyeball and form, and the consciousness of the eye, etc., are spoken of. Then, as an antidote to the conceptualization of the self as the basis of all afflictions, it is spoken of by Shariputra, who speaks of dependent origination, etc. Then, as an antidote to the conceptualization of the self as the basis of detachment from desire, it is spoken of by the first dhyana, etc. Then, as an antidote to the conceptualization of the self as the basis of the path of seeing, it is spoken of by the noble truths, etc. Then, as an antidote to the conceptualization of the self as the basis of the path of meditation, it is spoken of by the eight liberations, etc. Then, as an antidote to the conceptualization of the self as the basis of ultimate truth, it is spoken of by the ten powers, etc. These are the first nine conceptualizations of grasping. They are established because of the nature of illusion. Among them, the first established conceptualization is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the sense bases is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the elements is spoken of by illusion itself as the element of consciousness, etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in dependent origination is spoken of by illusion itself as old age and death, etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in purification is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the path of seeing is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the path of meditation is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the path of distinction is spoken of by the Blessed One as "it is not so," etc. Then, the conceptualization that is established in the path of no more learning is spoken of by saying "one will attain omniscience," etc. These are the second nine conceptualizations of grasping. Having explained the relationship between conceptualization and truth, from the perspective of truly complete grasping, the mind is not timid, etc.

That which shows emptiness and so on, Abandoning its opposing aspects, Completely holding all aspects. As it is said, fear itself is like the stages of small, medium, and large, transforming into fear, trembling, and extreme trembling. Its antidote is not shrinking back, truly not shrinking back, not transforming into truly not shrinking back. Why is it so? From where the mind does not shrink back, etc., it is said like that, which means skillful means. Emptiness of inherent existence means all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. The word 'etc.' refers to keeping in mind the all-knowingness and dedicating merits, etc. That which shows it means explaining, which is the meaning of a virtuous friend. Its opposing aspect is unskillful means and evil friends. Abandoning its opposing aspect means completely abandoning it. What are those four? They are all aspects, meaning in all aspects. That which truly holds it means truly holding it itself, meaning there are no opposing aspects with internal and external guides, etc. The sutra in this context is from 'Then, the venerable Subhuti,' etc., up to 'Subhuti's question.' Showing them separately and definitively means starting with Subhuti's question, with the four continuums, meaning up to 'having known, one should completely abandon.' Having shown the four limbs of definitive understanding, the basis for accomplishment should also be stated, which is the lineage of enlightenment. That is also: The six aspects of conceptualization, The antidote and the abandonment, Completely relying on them, Wisdom with loving-kindness, The uncommon nature of the disciple, And the order of benefiting others, The wisdom without effort. The basis for entering is called lineage. Thus it is said. Accomplishment, entering, accumulation, and definitive arising, from here onwards, its basis, object, and purpose are explained. Among them, lineage refers to the lineage of enlightenment in this context, which is in accordance with the aspect of definitive arising.
