It is said for the sake of not grasping. This is the object and aspect of the middle peak. The great is: all are without object, and are fully realized by wisdom. What is called "the perfection of wisdom"? It is not to focus on any dharma, which is the object. What is not focused on? It is not focusing on all dharmas such as the other shore, which is the aspect. Furthermore, it is said from the beginning of "Bhagavan" to be examined, until "should be understood." This is the object and aspect of the great peak. Because it is the peak of all moving roots of virtue, it is the peak. The small forbearance is: form, etc., are without self-nature, that is the self-nature of non-existence. That is, the absence of self-nature of form, etc., is the separation from its own characteristics, which is the object. Because form, etc., do not have the nature of that entity, that is the aspect. From "Then the venerable Shariputra" onwards, until "will surely attain all-knowingness." This is the object and aspect of small forbearance. The middle is: they are unborn and without definite emergence, pure. That is, those forms, etc., are without their own entity, so there is no birth and no definite emergence, which is the object. Such practice is to obtain purity of body, etc., that itself is purity, which is the aspect. Why is that? From "Thus venerable" onwards, until "perfect and complete enlightenment." This is the object and aspect of middle forbearance. The great is: they are that signless nature, not relying on that sign, without faith and without perception. That is, the absence of signs of form, etc., is the object. The aspect is also not relying on that sign, and is without faith and without perception. From "Then venerable" onwards, until "all-knowingness." This is the object and aspect of great forbearance. Because of enduring the excellence of dharma, it is forbearance. The small excellence of dharma is:

Samadhi is the act itself. What is meant by "samadhi" is focus, that is, saying that all dharmas are not grasped. This is what the Buddha said. Why? Because all dharmas are not grasped, this is because of their insubstantial nature. Its function is to quickly and completely attain Bodhi, this is the aspect. Among them, starting from "with the lifespan" etc., until the samadhi of "like the sky, without attachment, liberated and unobstructed." This is the focus and aspect of the supreme of the small dharma. The middle is: "Prophecies and arrogance are exhausted." It means that when practicing in this way, the prophecies made by the Buddhas of the three times are the focus. What is meant by "samadhi and self equally entering," not clinging and arrogance exhausted is the aspect. Starting from "from then on" etc., until "not clinging." This is the focus and aspect of the supreme of the middle dharma. The great is: "The three are one in essence. Samadhi is indistinguishable." It means that Bodhisattvas, samadhi, and Prajnaparamita, etc., their own nature is one with each other, this is the focus. Among them, samadhi is indistinguishable, this is the aspect. Starting from "what Shariputra said" etc., until "cannot understand correctly." This is the focus and aspect of the supreme of the great dharma. Because it is the supreme of all worldly dharmas, it is the supreme of dharma. Thus, the decisive part is: small, middle, and large. It means that each is divided into twelve types by the difference of small, middle, and large, corresponding to the decisive part. What is meant by "thus" is like this, through the difference of focus and aspect, understand in order. The content related to the distinction of warmth and so on and the correct association should be explained. Its state is said in the sutra: "After this, the World Honored One" etc., until "completely pure." Tranquility and its antidote are the distinction of the two kinds of grasping.

Sa. These are the nine aspects individually. The so-called 'apprehended conceptualization' refers to the conceptualization of the apprehended. It has two aspects: the first four are renowned in the world, and the other is its antidote, highly renowned among the Hearers and others. Each of these also has nine aspects, such as the distinctions of ignorance and aggregates, and the distinctions of aggregates and the gates of birth. In order, the first is for the heat stage, and the second is for the peak stage. The meaning of 'non-existence' is because it is the object of ignorance. The conceptualization that grasps it is the conceptualization of ignorance, as stated from 'What did Shariputra ask?' to 'Therefore, it is called non-existent.' The conceptualization of aggregates is stated from 'What did Shariputra ask?' to 'One should take emptiness, the nature of the non-existent.' The conceptualization of manifest clinging to name and form is stated from 'What is a child to that?' to 'Manifest clinging.' The conceptualization of manifest clinging to the two extremes is stated from 'What is manifest clinging to those dharmas?' and so on, to 'Goes into number.' The conceptualization of all afflictions and not knowing complete purification is stated from 'What are the causes of ignorance and craving?' and so on, to 'Certainly does not arise from the dharmas.' The conceptualization of not abiding in the noble path is stated from 'What do they not believe?' and so on, to 'To omniscience.' The conceptualization of the object is again asked by Shariputra, 'How else?' and so on, to 'In the manner of non-objectification.' The conceptualization of self and so on is stated from 'What did Shariputra ask, with what?' and so on, to 'One should take extreme purity.' As an antidote to the conceptualization of birth and so on, it is stated from 'What is unborn?' and so on, to 'Purity.' That is the first of the apprehended conceptualizations, the nine aspects. Finished.
