Through the classification of the realm of nothingness, one abandons the one hundred and eight kinds of conceptualizations, thereby abandoning the one hundred and eight kinds of seed afflictions held by these conceptualizations. This is obtained through the Dharma nature of dependent origination. Below it, the samadhi that can freely control it is explained. Thereafter, entering the Lion's Stretching Posture samadhi, one understands the logical and reverse principles of dependent origination, as it is said. By patiently and nearly eliminating the conceptualizations of the unfavorable aspects, because the immediately following conceptualizations do not leave behind habits, one enters the samadhi called Lion's Stretching Posture, which later belongs to the path of cultivation. Regarding dependent origination, such as ignorance conditioning action, etc., which is logical, and birth ceasing, therefore old age and death cease, etc., which is illogical, one truly understands. Having thus attained the peak of the path of seeing, the path of cultivation arises, therefore the peak of the path of cultivation is explained. In the nine successive samadhis including cessation, in two ways of going and returning, grasping the consciousness belonging to the desire realm, not taking the boundary of non-samadhi, entering samadhi in a transcendent way, surpassing one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight, one proceeds differently until reaching cessation. As it is said. Bodhisattvas, due to the power of practicing samadhi, freely enter samadhi. In order to bring the path of cultivation to the extreme, the first dhyana with five branches such as investigation and analysis, the second dhyana with four branches such as inner purity, the third dhyana with five branches such as equanimity, the fourth dhyana with four branches such as mindfulness and awareness, and the infinity of space and consciousness, etc., the infinity of space with aspiration as the guide, the realm of infinite consciousness, and nothingness, neither existence nor non-existence, nothingness with aspiration as the guide, the realm of non-perception and neither non-perception, etc., and the nature of cessation that ceases sensation and conceptualization of characteristics.

It is the samadhi of cessation. Like this, on the nine objects, ascending from the first dhyana up to cessation, and descending from cessation down to the first dhyana. Like this, going and coming in accordance with and not in accordance with reason are the two ways of showing the lion's leap. Furthermore, entering into the special samadhi between the first dhyana and so on, gradually up to cessation, and after that, from the first dhyana up to cessation, entering into each cessation samadhi in turn. Furthermore, having entered into cessation samadhi, rising from that samadhi, abandoning only cessation, immediately entering into the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. Rising from that samadhi, placing the consciousness that operates in the desire realm in the gap of non-attention, skillfully entering into cessation from there. Rising from that samadhi, entering into non-attention. After that, abandoning the two, entering into the realm of nothingness. Rising from that samadhi, entering into non-attention. Similarly, in the realm of infinite consciousness and so on, in the manner of descending, greatly increasing non-attention, abandoning three, four, five, six, seven, and eight, entering into the first dhyana. Rising from that samadhi, abiding in non-attention. Like this, going in different ways is the transcendent samadhi. What is the conceptual thought to be abandoned by that path of meditation? It is the four conceptual thoughts that are not in accordance with that path, and first, the first of the apprehended conceptual thoughts is proclaimed: brief, extensive, and the Buddha, abandoning what is not completely grasped, without merit in the three times, the excellent path has three aspects, this is one of the apprehended conceptual thoughts, it is the object of the aspect of application. That is to say, because the meaning of the scriptures, suchness, etc., is not understood, the Dharma is explained briefly; because the self-nature is not understood, the Dharma is explained extensively; because one does not persevere in the meaning of what has been said, the Buddha abandoned what was not completely grasped; because one does not possess the merits of the path of application such as non-retrogression, there is no merit in the past; in the Prajnaparamita, the path of seeing is seen with the aspect of accomplishment.
