The combination of distinguishing by means of rejection by saying "This is, that is not," and the false approximation of causing separation by showing the image of giving, etc., and the false attainment and the emanation of Bodhisattvas, generating joy in what is not as it is, which is called the three aspects of leading astray. Thus, there are forty-six in total. Thus, the combinations of cultivating by taking and abandoning merits and faults are also based on the prerequisite of knowing the characteristics, so the characteristics of what is expressed are then explained. "By what is it expressed as a characteristic? The knowable is also of three kinds: consciousness is what makes the difference, and the essence is what is expressed." By this, the combinations are expressed as generating the nature of the Tathagata, so the characteristics of consciousness, difference, and action are the three aspects of accomplishing the action, and since these are to be expressed, the characteristic of the essence is one aspect of accomplishing the function, and the characteristic should be known as the basis. Among them, the characteristic of consciousness, the omniscient nature, is different due to the three divisions, and for the time being, the characteristic is explained through the door of the omniscient nature. "The appearance of the Tathagata and, the nature of the world's imperishability and, the conduct of sentient beings' minds and, its holding and looking outward and, the form of inexhaustibility and, with attachment and so on and vast and, becoming great and immeasurable and, consciousness without indication and, mind without observation and consciousness that, knowable such as movement and, other than that also those are, known as aspects of suchness. The Able One realizes suchness, this is called explaining to others, this is, in the context of omniscience, a summary of the annotation of consciousness." In general, with the unmixed Dharma and so on, the nature of the Tathagata's arising, and knowing that the world alone is imperishable, and the conduct of the minds of countless sentient beings in the conventional, and the nature of abiding equally in those four, which is holding the mind, and the mind being distracted by not abiding equally, which is looking outward, and the form of the inexhaustible mind of true nature, and the minds of beings being completely afflicted with attachment and being together with desire.

, and so forth, the mind that is the object of the noble ones, free from attachment, and the mind without birth, abiding, and destruction, vast, and selflessness, and the equality of attaining qualities, becoming a great mind, and because it cannot be determined individually, therefore it is immeasurable mind, and with cessation and so on, the mind of the three times cannot be indicated, and the essence is separated from everything, therefore the mind is invisible, and manifesting in various ways, therefore the mind is moving and so on, and other than that, moving and so on are inseparable from suchness, and the Victorious One, having realized suchness as it is, indicates its meaning to others, called the sixteen distinctions of knowledge, how the yoga of omniscience arises with its own nature, by indicating, therefore the nature of all knowledge is encompassed by omniscience. Then, from the gate of the knowledge of the path, the nature of knowledge is proclaimed: emptiness, signlessness, complete with, wishes completely abandoned, unborn, unceasing, and so on, the nature of reality completely undisturbed, non-fabrication and non-discrimination, extreme division, no self-nature, in the context of the knowledge of the path, it is asserted to be the nature of knowledge. Thus it is said. The self-nature is emptiness, and the action of the cause is signless, and the nature of the result is wishless, and the unborn that arises dependently in accordance with the order, and the unceasing that is contrary to the order, and so on, the nature of defilement is completely without affliction, and being free from defilement is completely pure and without, the antidote of abandonment and acceptance is absent, and the essence of self-nature nirvana is absent, and the essence of the realm of phenomena is without support, and because it does not completely change due to the power of obscuration, therefore it is the six natures of space, and because no one can change it, therefore the nature of reality is completely undisturbed, and because it is not born from cause and condition, therefore there is no manifest fabrication, and because no characteristic can be established, therefore it is the nature of complete non-discrimination, and with conventional establishment, the subtle distinctions of phenomena, and in the ultimate truth, it is extremely peaceful, therefore knowing no self-nature,
