Oh! Indeed. As it is said, those are not from the perspective of the ultimate truth, but from the perspective of the conventional truth, relying on the nature of great compassion without any object of focus, and through the power of the common cause of the realm of Dharma, the Tathagata intends to teach immature beings that great fruits can be rapidly generated. Furthermore, someone raises the question, what is there to perfect by practicing with the characteristic of emptiness? To dispel this doubt, it is said in the (text): Things are inexpressible, Decline and non-increase are not permissible. By the path of meditation, What declines and what is attained? That is how it is. Because the nature of the path of Dharma, being truly without self-nature, for things that are inexpressible as that, as other, as both, or as neither, it is not permissible for there to be inconsistency and opposing aspects, and arising. Therefore, by the path of meditating on the inexpressible characteristic, what nature of inconsistent aspects is abandoned, and what nature of purification is attained? If it is said that merely doing nothing, one cannot perfect meditation, then, to answer this question, it is said in the (text): How is enlightenment thus, This is the accomplisher of the desired meaning. Enlightenment is the nature of thusness, That is also considered its nature. That is how it is. Just as with the unsurpassed enlightenment of the nature of thusness, nothing can surpass it, this is merely through generating the mind of appearance with special meaning, as the master of the Dharmakaya and so on, in order to accord with the merit and wisdom of those to be tamed, and to accomplish the meaning of manifesting desire, similarly, with this path of the nature of thusness, through practice, by means of being free from sudden defilements, in the conventional truth, it accomplishes the meaning of decline and increase of inconsistent aspects and antidotes. But in the ultimate truth, it is considered to be the negation of decline and increase. Someone doubts that enlightenment itself is not suitable for accomplishing the meaning of the cause, to dispel this doubt, it is said in the (text): The mind is not the previous enlightenment, Nor is the later one. That is how it is. Is enlightenment manifested through generating a special mind? Generating the previous mind is unreasonable, because for such a result,

Because it is unreasonable for actions to be completely perfect. The latter is also not possible, because all its power depends on the former, and it is impossible without the former. Similarly, many successive things are also not related to each other because they disappear immediately after they appear, and there is no follow-up. If someone thinks like this, then answer: Taking the example of a lamp, there are eight kinds of profound Dharma nature. Just like a lamp burning, the second moment does not depend on the first moment, and the first moment cannot burn the wick. Without relying on the first moment, the second moment cannot burn the wick either. Similarly, many unrelated successive things cannot burn what should be burned. However, just by relying on this condition, relying on the Dharma nature of dependent origination, the first moment, etc., through the way of producing the special essence of the cause of burning things, etc. in the second moment, etc., just like the wick is burned, with the characteristics of manifesting special meaning, generating Bodhicitta is also not from the independent and numerous manifestations of the previous and subsequent moments. However, by virtue of the nature of continuous connection, the power becomes very complete, and it is reasonable to attain Bodhi through abandoning what should be abandoned and clarifying the Dharma of the other side, and in a completely perfect way. The summary is: Therefore, if you analyze, even if you cannot determine the phenomena of production, etc., in the state of unanalyzed joy, the phenomena of production, etc. are possible, which are the eight profound Dharma natures. If you ask: Which are the eight profound Dharma natures? The answer is: The profundity of the eight realms such as birth is said like this: Birth and death, as well as suchness and knowable, knowledge and action and non-duality, and the profundity of skillful means. Just like what was said just now, even if it is not through the previous and subsequent moments, nor through no-self-nature, but through practice, the special meaning of generating realization is produced, which is the profound birth of dependent origination. All things are empty in nature and perish from the beginning of their production, which is the profound death. No matter what state, even if you are used to it, it will appear
