Because of the separation, their purity is not different and inseparable by the names of self-nature and common nature. Therefore, purity is spoken of in this way. After that, purity is explained in detail: The defilements, knowable objects, and three paths, due to faults, the purity of the learners, rhinos, and bodhisattvas, the Buddhas are all extremely pure. This is its meaning. Abandoning the afflictions such as attachment related to the view of self is the purity of the hearers; abandoning one aspect of the obscurations of knowledge related to the view of grasping is the purity of the solitary Buddhas; abandoning the three obscurations of the three vehicles' paths related to the view of self and phenomena is the purity of the Bodhisattvas. Abandoning all afflictions and obscurations of knowledge together with their predispositions related to all views is the purity of the perfectly pure, complete, and perfect Buddhas. How should one examine whether the obscurations of purity of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas are pure? The manner of completely eliminating what is to be abandoned by nine antidotes is explained: On the nine grounds, the great, the great, etc., the stains, the antidote, the small, the small, etc., the path is pure. This is its meaning. The desire realm, the four concentrations, and the four formless absorptions are pure. On the nine grounds, the path of the small, the small, etc., in nine ways, eliminates the non-concordant aspects, such as the great, the great, etc., the nine kinds of stains, in order. It is like a laundryman exerting effort in a large laundry pool to remove fine stains from clothes. Why is the purity of the perfectly complete Buddhas said to be extremely excellent? Therefore, the complete characteristic of the unsurpassed antidote is explained: In that, by abandoning disputes, the path, the measure, and the measurable are pure. Because of equality, the three realms are desired as the antidote. This is its meaning. In the equality of all dharmas, what is to be abandoned and the antidote are unreasonable, and similarly, abandoning and taking, obtaining and realizing are impossible. These disputes rely on the two truths.

Completely purified by the path. Therefore, the equality of the Buddha, that is, the knowledge and knowable of the three realms, becomes the antidote to all defilements by non-objectification, and is considered to be the ultimate purity of complete perfection. Commentary on the Prajñāpāramitā Upadeśa Śāstra Abhisamayālaṅkāra, the Garland of the Lamp of Wisdom, Explanation of the Second Chapter. Chapter Three, Explanation of Sarvākāra-jñatā. Completely knowing all paths also depends on Sarvākāra-jñatā, therefore, first, Sarvākāra-jñatā with the characteristics of reality is taught. "Neither this shore nor the other shore, nor the middle, does it abide in purity; in order to know the equality of all times, it is called Prajñāpāramitā." Thus it is said. By the reality of wisdom and compassion, knowing that all dharmas of the three times are equal in nature from the beginning without arising, therefore, this shore and the other shore, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, the characteristics of permanence and annihilation, and even in between them, it does not abide, therefore it is the Prajñāpāramitā of Sarvākāra-jñatā of reality. This shows that the Śrāvakas, etc., do not understand the equality of the three times, therefore, they are only Prajñāpāramitā by their own realization, separated from wisdom and compassion, and abide on the edge of existence and peace by objectifying existence and non-existence. If there is no attachment to the characteristics of Prajñāpāramitā, how can there be distance? The reason for this is stated. "Because of the gate of attachment to characteristics, it is far away because it is not a means; because of his skillful means, it is said to be truly near." Thus it is said. Just as many ordinary beings become attached to various objects because they do not understand the dependent arising of illusion, the Śrāvakas, etc., lack skillful means such as true virtuous friends, and through the gate of attachment to the characteristics of the names and meanings of dharmas, they are far away from this mother of no characteristics, just like the magician himself with false meaning
