Not clinging to the root of virtue, and not holding the prohibition itself as a sign, dedicating with the nature of no self-nature through the characteristics of conventional and ultimate truth, making the Buddhas rejoice, dedicating to transcendence of the three realms, not belonging to the three realms, abiding in the path of action such as the ten virtues is small, abiding in entering the stream etc. is medium, abiding in the unsurpassed Bodhi is great. It is more meaningful than placing all sentient beings of the three thousand worlds in the ten virtues and immeasurable etc. Thus and so on, great merit arises. Thus, the Bodhisattva, with the nature of focusing on non-objectification, has twelve characteristics of dedicating the root of virtue to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. In order to clearly and greatly increase the abundant accumulation of merit from complete dedication, rejoicing and attention are taught. "With skillful means and non-objectification, rejoicing in the root of virtue, rejoicing in attention, here it is said to be cultivation." Thus it is said. Oneself and others' roots of virtue done in the three times, for the finite and infinite roots of virtue, with a very joyful mind, in the conventional, with skillful means, without any object of focus, universally rejoicing, this is the stage of the path of cultivation where inconceivable merit is manifestly increased with small effort. Therefore, with faith, dedication, rejoicing, and attention, in order, from the source, like gold dust, accumulating merit, like a goldsmith transforming into unsurpassed limbs, like becoming beautiful to a great many people, making immeasurable roots of virtue greatly increase, this is what is said. After that, the uncontaminated path of cultivation will be taught, first the path of cultivation with the characteristic of achieving qualities is taught. "Its nature is most supreme, not manifestly accumulating in everything, all dharmas are without object, initiating is of great meaning." Thus it is said. For form etc.

How I realized the Dharma nature, with the essence and the object, all the roots of virtue are supreme by overwhelming, and do not hold onto the characteristics of arising and ceasing, etc., for all dharmas, therefore it is the nature of non-action, with such a path, all dharmas such as conditioned and unconditioned are generated and established in the continuum of yogis as the nature of non-attainment, and it becomes the fruit of non-abiding nirvana, therefore it is the nature of great meaning. For those who have practice, the cultivation of the pure path will arise, in order to explain that, regarding what should be taken and abandoned, the cause of this birth and non-birth has been said earlier: Approaching the Buddha and giving, etc., and whatever is skillful in means, these are the causes of generating faith in this. The causes of being impoverished by the Dharma are: being suppressed by the density of demons, and not having faith in the profound Dharma, and manifest attachment to the aggregates, etc., and being completely seized by evil friends. This is what it says. Approaching and serving the Buddha and so on for a long time and asking questions, accomplishing the six perfections and guarding the rules of the Great Vehicle, and whatever is skillful in the means of this samadhi, that is the cause of generating faith in this pure path and being born. Having not accumulated roots of virtue in the past, therefore being blessed by demons, not having practiced the lineage of the Great Vehicle, therefore not having faith in the profound Dharma, not having practiced well in the meaning of selflessness, therefore being manifestly attached to the aggregates, etc., not having approached virtuous friends, therefore being seized by evil friends, etc., these are the causes of not arising this and being impoverished by the Dharma. After that, the general statement of purity that is appropriate at the moment is spoken: For the form, etc., of the fruit, etc., it is the nature of purity, for what reason? The two are not other, because they are indivisible, so it is said to be pure. This is what it says. Like this, whatever is the fruit of the noble beings, that is pure by being separated from all unfavorable aspects, that is the purity of form, etc., the purity of fruit and form, etc., because it is extremely far from attachment to self, etc.
