Moreover, it is not dependent on the first moment, nor on the second moment. Similarly, many previous and subsequent moments without connection cannot cause what is to be burned to be burned. However, merely by the nature of dependent arising of this condition, the first moment and so on, by the nature of the cause that makes the second moment and so on burn, through the way of completely generating differences, just as making the heartwood burn, the arising of the mind with the characteristic of appearing as a special meaning is also unrelated to the separate moments of the previous and subsequent, and the connection of many manifestations. However, by the nature of continuous connection, the power becomes extremely perfect, and through abandoning what should be abandoned and clarifying the other side of the Dharma, and in a completely perfect way, it is suitable to attain enlightenment. The meaning is, therefore, if one observes, then one does not observe the imperceptible arising and so on, but in the face of a delightful state, arising and so on are feasible, which are the eight kinds of profound Dharma nature. What are the eight profound ones? That is, it is said that there is profundity for the eight objects such as arising. Arising and ceasing, suchness and knowable, knowledge and conduct and non-duality, and skillful means are profound. That's how it is. According to the reason just stated, it is neither the previous nor the subsequent moments, nor is it without self-nature. However, through practice, the special meaning of realization arises, that is, the dependent arising of arising is profound. All things, from the moment they arise, are naturally without self-nature and will cease, this is the profound cessation. Habitual practice in all circumstances will not manifest, this is the profound suchness. Only such a nature, all the Dharma to be known, generosity and other various ways are accomplished accordingly, this is the profound knowable. By the nature of suchness, not seeing is seeing, this is the profound knowledge. In the ultimate sense, non-conduct is conduct, this is the profound conduct. All Dharmas are accomplished in the nature of non-duality, this is the profound non-duality. Not abandoning the samadhi of liberation and so on,

That which fully ripens sentient beings and perfects all accumulations, by that result, it is called the impossibility of attaining Buddhahood, which is the profound meaning of skillful means. Because it is difficult to understand as if accomplishing mutually contradictory meanings through obtaining inconceivable liberation, there are eight kinds of profundity. Because the student must attain the fruit of Buddhahood by obtaining the irreversible Dharma, therefore, its uncommon cause, the equality of samsara and nirvana, is taught. Verse: Because all dharmas are like dreams, there is no distinction between existence and peace, there are no arguments about karma, etc., the answer is as stated. It means that because all contradictory and consistent dharmas are meditated upon as mere images, therefore, it is realized that samsara and nirvana are like dreams, so, not distinguishing between the two as different is equality. If it is like a dream, then when not asleep, will non-virtue and generosity, etc., also not exist? The answer to such arguments is, just as when the outsiders say it is real, actually no one kills anyone, etc., but when something arises that contradicts the life force, it is understood as killing, etc., and established as killing, etc. Things are like dreams, and for those who have not lost all inverted bonds, they will also become attached to things that are consistent with this, and will become manifest attachment, and also, in dreams, practicing the aspects of virtue and non-virtue, if later nourished by the temporary mind's manifest attachment, will also become the fruit of whatever thing, therefore the metaphor is not established, as stated in the Sutra Pitaka and its schools. Thus, meditating on equality will manifest complete enlightenment in one's own field, therefore, the pure Buddhafield is taught. Verse: Sentient beings' world is like that, the vessel world is impure, by purifying it, the Buddhafield is pure. It means that with the difference between sentient beings and the vessel world, the Buddhafield is the dependent and the support.
