The self-arisen one who has mastery over all dharmas, and the nature of complete perfect enlightenment in all aspects, is the aspect of the Buddha himself. The three aspects of all aspects are supreme. Therefore, all aspects of the Buddhas, that is, the aspect of the support of the path of omniscience, are considered to be thirty-nine. In short, there are one hundred and seventy-three aspects. Among them, the three aspects of omniscience, according to the order, the Shravakas and others, because they are without defilements, only enter into the meaning of peace; the Bodhisattvas, because they have not completely abandoned defilements, seek the meaning of sentient beings; the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, because they have abandoned all stains, engage in spontaneously accomplished activities, therefore, they are known to be without outflows, and both existence and non-existence, and extremely without outflows. After that, in order to show the means of meditating on these aspects, first, the vessel of the practitioner is declared: Respect the Buddhas, generate roots of virtue from them, and be accompanied by the protection of virtuous friends, this is the vessel for listening. Attending to the Buddhas and asking all questions, practicing generosity and discipline, etc., the noble ones consider them to be vessels for receiving and holding, etc. That is to say, those who have served and respected the Buddhas who have appeared in the past and present, and who have generated and cultivated roots of virtue by generating Bodhicitta towards them, and who are always supported by virtuous friends, are suitable vessels for listening to this mother scripture with the nature of aspects. Those who please the Tathagatas by serving them with their bodies, etc., and who have thoroughly inquired about all places of doubt, and who have successively practiced the ten perfections, such as generosity and discipline, are suitable vessels for holding the words of this scripture, not forgetting its meaning, and properly attending to its nature, the Buddhas and others think so. After that, the actual practice is declared: Because it does not abide in form, etc., therefore, the practice in it is prohibited, therefore, its suchness is profound, therefore, they are difficult to fathom, therefore, they are without measure.

For returning, for realizing with great effort and for a long time, for the prophecy of non-retrogression, for definitive emergence without interruption, for nearness and swiftness to enlightenment, for the benefit of others without increase or decrease, not seeing Dharma and non-Dharma, etc., not seeing form, etc., as inconceivable, form, etc., its characteristics, not distinguishing its essence, the fruit of precious jewels is given, it is pure and bounded. Thus it is said. Because of the absence of inherent existence in form, etc., it does not abide, and not associating with them is also imperceptible. Because form, etc., are profound in the essence of suchness, and difficult to realize, they are unfathomable. Because the limits of these are unattainable, they are immeasurable. These are called the five kinds of distinctions of nature. Because of fearing the Perfection of Wisdom, one attains Buddhahood after a very long time with great effort. Because of not proclaiming, one is close to the prophecy of non-retrogression. Because of correctly upholding the practice of that Perfection, one does not regress. Because of abandoning the obstructing Dharma of attending to the inferior vehicle, one is determined to emerge. Because of constantly meditating on the Dharma of Suchness, one is endowed with uninterruptedness. Because of becoming the basis for new, uncontaminated Dharma, one is close to enlightenment. Because the fruit, the Dharmakaya, is manifestly accomplished, enlightenment is swift. Because the wheel of Dharma is turned in various ways, it is for the benefit of others. Because the essence of the Dharma's Suchness is without birth or cessation, there is no increase or decrease. Because it is not perceived in the desire realm, one does not see Dharma and non-Dharma, etc. Because form, etc., are inconceivable in conventional nature, and there is no such clinging in ultimate truth, the aspect of inconceivability is prevented. Because one does not distinguish between form, etc., its characteristics, and its essence, one does not distinguish its essence. Because the first fruit, etc., are made manifest, precious jewels are given as fruit. Because the pure two aspects of the Dharma-nature of form, etc., are cultivated, it is pure.
