Starting from the ten bhumis, the extensive explanation of not abiding in all dharmas is the most excellent aspect of Dharma. It should be understood that this arises in accordance with the aspect of certainty. After that, the path of the Pratyekabuddhas is taught, and for a moment, it is explained how these paths differ from the previous paths, stating the following argument: "For the sake of realizing the self-arisen nature, even if others instruct, it is not needed. The wisdom like a rhinoceros horn is manifested as profound." This is its meaning. Attaining enlightenment through self-arising has three distinctions: sharp faculties, intermediate, and slightly dull. These are because of the manifest accumulation of prior hearing and so on, without relying on the instructions of others, one can realize one's own Bodhi. Moreover, what is implied by the word "also" is that teaching the Dharma to others is also profound because it does not rely on sound. Because expressing with sound is distraction, and if the listeners can understand the skill of the speaker, they will not easily understand. The scriptures say: "The Shravakas rely on the instructions of others to realize Bodhi, and others also teach the Dharma with words, thereby engaging in virtue." So, in order to dispel the doubt of "how can one teach the Dharma without sound?", the following answer is given: "Whatever things are in whatever places, however one wishes to hear, in that very place, that and that thing, even without sound, appears in that way." This is its meaning. Like this, the meaning of teaching the Dharma is to make the meaning to be expressed very firm and increasing in the listener's continuum, and this is merely by the power of aspiration and so on, wanting to indicate, even without sound, whatever things are in whatever places, wanting to hear and understand in whatever way, in that and that consciousness, that and that thing itself will appear in that way, therefore one can teach the Dharma. This is also not speaking without analysis and thought, that would make the meaning confused, and other than that, giving words would become verbose, this is said according to the power of reason. In particular, the actual path of these superior ones.

These were spoken. In order to abandon the conceptualization of the object of grasping, and because the grasping has not been abandoned, one should know that the path that relies on something like a rhinoceros horn is truly gathered. As it is said, by meditating only on the truth, and by meditating on dependent arising as it is, one abandons the conceptualization of the aspect of the object of grasping, and the manifest clinging to ignorance, aggregates, and self, etc., is completely pacified. This shows the difference in realization from the Shravakas. However, because one has not become extremely accustomed to the selflessness of all phenomena, one cannot abandon the conceptualization of the aspect of the object of grasping, because one is not separated from grasping at the characteristics of the aggregates, etc. This shows the difference of being inferior to the Mahayana. Moreover, it also possesses the difference of reliance on cultivating the nature of reality, which is profound with wisdom, etc. Thus, the path of the solitary Buddha is truly gathered, and should be known by the Bodhisattva through the door of non-objectification. If one asks, what are those that precede that path and are in accordance with the aspects of definitive discrimination? It is said that there are four branches: The nature of imputation is not contradicted, the aspect of teaching becomes warmth, the color, etc., that has become the peak, is distinguished by the absence of decrease, etc., by the emptiness of the interior, etc., tolerance is because one does not grasp color, etc., the one with the aspect of the absence of birth, etc., of color, etc., is the supreme Dharma. Thus it is. Color, etc., are conventionally imputed and spoken of, and the nature of reality, etc., that can be spoken of in the ultimate sense, without contradicting each other, is well taught, and becomes the warmth; for color, etc., in the ultimate sense, defilement and purification from all aspects, is the meaning of the absence of increase and decrease, etc., of self-nature, and is cultivated, and becomes the peak; because of the emptiness of self-nature, for color, etc., the one who does not grasp completely with emptiness such as internal and external and both, etc., becomes tolerance; for color, etc., the one with the aspect of the absence of birth and cessation, etc., is the supreme Dharma, one should know that the branches of definitive discrimination such as the truth arise in this way. After that, because the Bodhisattva path should be explained, so first is seeing.
