Furthermore, emptiness and those such as form that have become causes, due to the nature of being undifferentiated, form and so on are not of the nature of arising and ceasing, as well as being completely defiled and purified, so it is said. In the truth of cessation, emptiness is separated from arising and ceasing, as well as complete defilement and purification, decline and increase, and so on, then from the formless up to ignorance, there is no arising, no ceasing, no becoming a Buddha, and even up to enlightenment, there is nothing, so it is said. In the truth of the path, generosity and other perfections, because of being empty of self-nature, are me, or inner emptiness and so on are outer emptiness and so on, and all the former and latter limits, establishing that mutually connecting and not connecting are not reality, thus showing, is instructing on the truth. In the Buddha, because the nature of the Buddha and enlightenment are the same, the nature of the Dharma that makes one a Buddha, the all-knowingness of all aspects, in the unobtainable, because it is not connected with form and so on, is what should be cognized, and knowing the equality of what cognizes, so it is said. In the Dharma, all-knowingness, the basis and antidote included by the three, and all phenomena included by all aspects are without self-nature, so it is said. In the Sangha, because it belongs to the Jewel of the Buddha, the seven types of individuals other than Arhats, the eight together with the Solitary Buddhas, divided into twenty types by differences such as dull and sharp faculties, in order to make the irreversible noble Bodhisattvas learn, one should cause them to enter into the unborn nature, thus prophesying, is instructing on the Three Jewels. By initiating diligence, earnestly applying oneself to the meaning as stated, then one will become attached to the meritorious actions of the body and so on, therefore, the instruction showing that the attached body and so on are without self-nature. Although one has become accustomed to it for a long time, if the meaning one desires is not accomplished, then one will be completely weary with a timid nature, therefore, in the absence of weariness, from form and so on up to perfect enlightenment, the teaching showing the absence of pride. Buddhas and so on abiding in the ten directions

If one becomes discouraged because one has to strive greatly for things like not receiving permission for the path for each and every matter, then in order to completely grasp the path, one should be instructed to regard all dharmas as being unborn by their very nature. Determining the individual characteristics of things from the senses themselves is the eye of flesh; knowing the death, transmigration, and birth of all sentient beings from maturation is the divine eye; not conceptually thinking about all suchness dharmas is the eye of wisdom; understanding the distinctions of noble individuals by virtue of complete purity is the dharma eye; and completely manifesting perfect enlightenment in all aspects of all dharmas by virtue of extreme purity is the Buddha eye, teaching to establish these five eyes as being the same suchness. The supernormal knowledge of miraculous transformation that transforms and changes everything is supernormal knowledge; hearing all sounds, great and small, of vast eons is the divine ear; completely knowing others' minds, whether they are with or without attachment, is knowing others' minds; remembering one's own and others' previous lives is knowing previous abodes; completely seeing all forms, which arise from manifest action, is the divine eye; and abandoning the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge is the supernormal knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, teaching that these should be realized as being peaceful from the very beginning. On the path of seeing, the nature of the sixteen moments summarized by the four truths, for the forbearance and knowledge of dharma and subsequent knowledge, the yogi, by realizing that all dharmas are without inherent existence, like a magician, realizes that this is the antidote to be abandoned. On the path of meditation, for the object that is not different from the nature manifested by the path of seeing as described above, conditioned and unconditioned things are the same in nature, just as one cannot posit mutual differences, there is no other establishment of characteristics; however, through the nature of dependent arising, one should meditate on it as the antidote to be abandoned. Thus instructing, by just this much, it will be certain that all meanings are perfectly complete. In the context of the Sangha Jewel, the number twenty that is spoken of, that...
