If the seven branches of enlightenment, and right view, thought, speech, the limit of action, livelihood, diligence, mindfulness, and samadhi, are the eightfold noble path. What are the four immeasurables? Loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. What are the eight liberations? Having the perception of form internally and contemplating external forms, these are two; the sublime liberation is realized and fully dwells in the body, this is one; infinite space, infinite consciousness, nothingness, the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, these are four; the cessation of perception and feeling, this is one. What are the nine successive states of meditative absorption? First dhyana, second dhyana, third dhyana, fourth dhyana, these are the four dhyanas of the form realm; the four formless absorptions such as infinite space; and the absorption of cessation itself. What are the ten kasinas? All blue, yellow, red, white, earth, water, fire, wind, space, and the contemplation of consciousness, these are called the ten kasinas. What are the eight abhibhayatana? Those who have the perception of form and formlessness internally, each observes external forms as small, large, inferior, and superior, and understands and sees by overcoming them, these are four; only those who have no perception of form internally, understand and see by overcoming external blue, yellow, red, and white forms, these are four. What is without affliction? The samadhi that is peaceful in itself, which can eradicate the continuum of the enemy of afflictions belonging to the continuum of others, that is it. What is the knowledge of the place of aspiration? As desired, correctly understanding in a truthful manner, thereby naturally accomplishing and so forth, entering the occasion of cyclic existence, that is it. What are the six superknowledges?

神通 and divine ear, as well as past lives, death and rebirth, birth, the minds of others, and knowing the exhaustion of outflows. What are the four kinds of individual perfect knowledge? Meaning, Dharma, its words, and eloquence are individual perfect knowledge. What is complete purity in all aspects? Support, object, mind, and wisdom are completely pure. What are the ten kinds of power? Life, mind, resources, karma, birth, aspiration, prayer, magical power, wisdom, and freedom over Dharma. What are the ten strengths? Place and non-place, as well as the ripening of karma, various realms, various aspirations, superior and non-superior faculties, the path of universal going, the view of meditative absorption and so on, past lives, death and rebirth, and the power of knowing the exhaustion of outflows. What are the four fearlessnesses? Saying, "All my dharmas are manifestly and completely enlightened," saying, "Outflows are exhausted," saying, "Explaining to others the path of definite liberation," and the absence of opposition from gods, demons, or Brahma, etc., to the obstacles or vows of the path, are fearlessnesses. What are the three non-guardings? It means that the actions of body, speech, and mind are completely pure, and there is no inverted behavior in this, nor is there any intention to hide the shame that others know. What are the three close placements of mindfulness? When teaching the Dharma, those who are willing to listen, those who are unwilling to listen, and both, in order, greed and anger arise accordingly, and both are separated, only abandoning and abiding with mindfulness. What is the nature of non-forgetfulness? It is the nature of not exceeding the time of benefiting sentient beings with great compassion and skillful means. What is the complete destruction of habits? It means that the seeds of the habits of afflictions and cognitive obscurations are abandoned, and completely uprooted in every way, as pure as the sky without stains. What is great compassion for beings? It means that there is no obstacle to all beings who are reborn in good and bad destinies.

With great compassion, he observes and wishes to protect day and night in six periods. What are the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha? They are: no mistakes, no clamor, no forgetting mindfulness, no instability, no different thoughts, and no unexamined equanimity, these six; no loss of desire, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, wisdom, and the wisdom of liberation, these six; all actions of body, speech, and mind are led by wisdom and follow wisdom, these three; and the wisdom that is unattached and unobstructed in the past, future, and present times, called the entrance of observation, these three. What is the all-knowingness of all aspects? It is the complete and perfect enlightenment of all phenomena in all aspects. What is summarized by the word "and" is the self-born one who has dominion over all phenomena, and the suchness spoken by all Buddhas, which is the suchness of reality. What is the essence of this Dharma? It is the body of manifest non-leakage, therefore it is called the Dharmakaya. In this context, to explain the difference of being without afflictions, the intermediate verses are spoken: The Hearers have the view of being without afflictions, humans can completely abandon all afflictions, the city of the Victorious Ones and others, cutting off the stream of afflictions is being without afflictions. Thus it is. The concentration without afflictions of the Hearers and others is to abandon human afflictions in oneself, or if afflictions arise in some who see themselves, it is not permissible, so it should be valued, this is affliction. And the concentration without afflictions of the Tathagatas is to go to cities and other places and cut off the stream of afflictions of all beings. Furthermore, to explain the difference of knowing the place of aspiration, the intermediate verses are spoken: The Buddha knows the place of aspiration, spontaneously accomplished and free from attachment, without obstruction and eternally abiding, wishing to answer all questions. Thus it is. The knowledge of the place of aspiration of the Hearers and others depends on effort and attachment to equanimity.
