Because of knowing, the Dharma flourishes, and because of not being diligent in the meaning of what is said, therefore not being taught and fully embraced by the Buddha, and because of the lack of the qualities of the path of application, such as non-retrogression, there is no past quality, and because in the Perfection of Wisdom there is no characteristic of realization, there is no quality of the path of seeing, so there is no present quality, and the characteristic of truly meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom, because there is no quality of the path of meditation, there is no future quality, and because of inverted peace and so on, for liberation from suffering, the excellent path of application, and only by directly realizing emptiness, seeing the excellent path of suchness, and only by familiarizing oneself with no self-nature, not knowing the excellent path of truly meditating. Thus, the first of the apprehended conceptualizations is the nine aspects of the object of the stage of application of the path of meditation. After that, the two apprehended conceptualizations are taught. The second is that minds and mental factors are considered to be objects of entry. Not generating the mind of enlightenment, and not attending to the essence of enlightenment, and attending to the lesser vehicle, and not attending to complete enlightenment, meditating and not meditating, and eliminating from them, and non-meaningful conceptualizations that are not as they are, should be known in the path of meditation. Thus it is said. Because of being separated from virtuous friends and so on, the mind of enlightenment is not generated, and because there is no special merit that is in accordance with the Buddha, the essence of enlightenment is not attended to, and because of fearing samsara and not considering the benefit of others, the lesser vehicle is attended to, and because there is no direct realization of the Perfection of Wisdom, complete enlightenment is not attended to, and because of meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom, the desire to attain omniscience, therefore it is meditation, and because of not meditating on it, the desire to attain it, therefore it is non-meditation, and because of the desire to attain it through both meditation and non-meditation, therefore it is both, and because of the desire to attain it not through meditation nor through non-meditation, therefore it is neither, and because of entering into inversion, therefore holding onto the meaning that is not as it is. Thus,

The second object-perceiving conceptualization is the nine types of objects experienced during the entry of the mind and mental factors of the path of meditation. After that, the first subject-perceiving conceptualization is taught: The realm of beings imputed, the imputation of phenomena and non-emptiness, attachment and the nature of various distinctions, acting as entities and the three vehicles, merit that is not pure, conduct that is confused, the perceiver is the first, it is declared to be known. This means: because there is no real birth, it is imputed as sentient beings; because it is merely appearance, it is imputed as phenomena such as form; although it is empty of other meanings of person and phenomena, it abides in its own nature, hence it is non-empty; through the gate of focusing and not focusing on them, attachment to the path; form and so on are distinguished by their individual characteristics of self and generality; as it is said, because one does not do what should be done, one does what should be explained as inferior; because one does not focus on form and so on, one definitely emerges with the three vehicles; because one does not truly enter, merit is not pure; because one focuses on the three circles of giving and so on, one grasps that there is a person whose conduct is confused. Thus, it should be known that the first subject-perceiving conceptualization is the nine types of objects experienced during the stage of application of the path of meditation. After that, the second subject-perceiving conceptualization is briefly taught: The imputation of beings and its cause, the object-perceiving is destroyed by it, related to the path of meditation, the other nine unfavorable factors. This means: imputed as ordinary beings and noble ones, the cause of their imputation, which is the stream of aggregates gathered by ignorance and wisdom, the object-perceiving to which one is manifestly attached, is what should be destroyed by the path of meditation. The unfavorable factors related to that path are the nine types of the second subject-perceiving conceptualization. What are the nine types? The intermediate verse is taught: The three all-knowing, the nature as it is, the three obscurations, the peaceful path, suchness and so on, similar and dissimilar, and unequal, suffering and so on, all sufferings.
