These are the nature of one and many, and the causes such as self and other, and the reasons such as emptiness of fruits arising from existence and non-existence, just like a lotus in the sky, there is no cessation and arising. Therefore, the things that existed before have been exhausted, and the new non-arising has been accomplished, because it has not been established, so in order, from the beginning, whether it is exhaustion or non-arising, it should be thoroughly understood as it is, the nature of the wisdom Dharmakaya should be understood as the great Bodhi. Furthermore, it is said that it is impossible to understand exhaustion and non-arising. In the nature of non-cessation, through the path called seeing, what kind of conceptual thoughts will be exhausted? What kind of unborn aspect will be obtained? That is what is said. Whatever, things are destroyed and no longer arise afterwards, it is considered exhaustion and non-arising, if it is thought that understanding exhaustion and non-arising in this way is Bodhi, it is illogical. Because cessation is the nature of suchness, from the beginning it is the nature of non-existence. Those that have arisen and have not arisen, in order, have the characteristics of preventing exhaustion and arising, through the power of your path of seeing, the types of conceptual thoughts that should be eliminated, what will be exhausted by what has arisen before? What will be born from the unborn Dharma nature that should be attained? There is nothing at all. Moreover, the path of seeing is not to make exhaustion and non-arising through its power, because it is based on the cessation of the nature of non-existence, it should also be said. Also, regarding that doctrine, the contradiction of what is established is said like this: other dharmas also exist, and also show to the knowable, saying that obscurations are exhausted, I am surprised by this. Like this, if the characteristics of knowledge and the knowable, the nature of momentary dharmas, exist in the ultimate truth, then due to clinging to the self-nature that cannot be eliminated and cannot be produced, like the sky, by practicing the antidote, they will not do anything to them at all. Therefore, those who cling to the appearance of things claim that all dharmas are truly existent, but the Tathagata thinks that for those things that should be known, all aspects of obscurations have been exhausted, these two are very contradictory statements.

Because it is so, I am amazed at this. So, how should this matter be analyzed? In the intermediate verse, it is said that the principle of no self-nature has been explained. It says: 'There is nothing to be removed from this, and there is nothing to be established. Look at the truth as it is, and seeing the truth is liberation.' These self-nature dharmas, which are encompassed by the path of seeing and so on, from the very beginning, with their natural self-nature, originally have no conflicting aspects to be removed, and there are no opposing aspects to be newly established. However, the path of seeing and so on, with their same taste, the true edge, there is nothing to be refuted or established, with undeceiving wisdom, looking at the true face of things as they are. Therefore, just as the king of illusionists is defeated by another king of illusionists, through the transformation of reversal, ultimately seeing in the way of not seeing the true edge, one will be liberated from all attachments. In this way, through the emptiness of birth and death, one attains selflessness, through the non-establishment of external objects, one attains only mind, through the absence of the grasped, there is no grasper, and one attains the self-nature of non-duality, and through not being attached to anything, one attains the yoga of no characteristics. Through this power, like the sky, all dharmas manifest in their own way with the nature of non-discrimination, thereby obtaining the fruit of realizing the self-nature of no birth and no death, exhaustion and no birth from the very beginning. This should be understood. After that, the nature of the path of seeing is truly explained. 'Generosity and so on, each one, those mutually gathered, by one moment's patience, the gathered is the path of seeing here.' This is the verse. With the action of the path of seeing, the six perfections, such as generosity, are distinguished in detail, thereby producing thirty-six forms, that is, the self-nature of each of generosity and so on, mutually holding each other and accomplishing, like this
