The diligence of application, the diligence of non-slackening, and the diligence of armor. Abandoning one's own faults, generating supernormal powers, and the meditation of abiding in bliss in the present dharma. The wisdom of the nature of hearing, the nature of thinking, and the wisdom of the nature of meditation, thus each has three aspects. One nature of the six perfections should also be established as six perfections, because it is the armor of the bodhisattva's practice. Among them, giving alms, abandoning its fruits such as the Hearers, and not thinking that one should give this alms until one attains enlightenment, etc., is the patience of निश्चित (Sanskrit: niścita, Romanized Sanskrit: niścita, Tibetan: ངེས་པར་སེམས་པ, literal meaning: definite thought) in the Dharma. Repeatedly familiarizing oneself with this, practicing it oneself, and being happy to teach it to others is diligence. Completely abandoning miserliness, etc., and focusing one's mind solely on giving alms is meditation. Also, when dedicating the alms to perfect enlightenment, at this time, knowing that all of these are like illusions is wisdom. Even just one perfection of giving is through the six perfections. Thus, guarding morality, perfecting patience, initiating diligence, practicing meditation, generating wisdom, and also dedicating its fruits to all sentient beings, these six perfections themselves also transform into six perfections. Therefore, six sets of six are thirty-six, which is the practice of armor. Secondly, the entry of practice should be explained. The entry of practice is to begin to proceed for the sake of enlightenment. This is also divided into nine types from the perspective of the object. Meditation, formless giving, etc., the path and love, etc., having no object, the three spheres being pure, what is to be done, and the six supernormal powers, for the sake of the all-knowing nature, the entry of practice in the Great Vehicle should be known as climbing. What is called meditation is the four meditations: investigation, analysis, joy, and bliss.

Single-pointedness of mind; the five branches are the first dhyana. Inner purity, joy, virtue, and single-pointedness of mind; the four branches are the second dhyana. Equanimity, mindfulness, awareness, happiness, and single-pointedness of mind; the five branches are the third dhyana. Complete purity of equanimity, complete purity of mindfulness, suffering, and non-pleasurable feeling, and single-pointedness of mind; the four branches are the fourth dhyana. The four formless realms are: having abandoned desire from the desire realm and the form realm, one focuses on space itself as limitless; therefore, it is the sphere of limitless space. Further, having abandoned desire from that, one focuses on consciousness itself alone as limitless; therefore, it is the sphere of limitless consciousness. Further, having abandoned desire from that, one focuses on the state of having nothing at all; therefore, it is the sphere of nothingness. From that, further having abandoned desire, one focuses on the state of neither perception nor non-perception; therefore, it is called the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, which is the entrance to the practice of formless meditation, and should be combined with the limit of all aspirations. "Giving, etc." refers to the six perfections as spoken of before. "Path" refers to the path of seeing, the path of cultivation, the path of no more learning, and the special paths. "Love, etc." refers to love, compassion, joy, and equanimity; wishing all sentient beings to have happiness is love; wishing them to be free from suffering is compassion; wishing them not to be separated from happiness is joy; wishing them to be free from suffering and to have happiness is equanimity, which are love, etc. "Having no object" means not focusing on any object of grasping or grasper, but rather on the nature of non-duality. "Completely pure three spheres" means that the giver, the object of giving, and the recipient should be purified by appearing separately like dreams, etc. "To do for" means to make supreme for all sentient beings, to liberate from all faults, and all qualities.
