The nature of the wisdom that illuminates everything with what kind of wisdom, and abides in the Buddha-land, is the tenth bhumi of the Bodhisattva. Having spoken of the collection of the bhumis, now the collection of antidotes is to be spoken of, therefore it is said with regard to this: On the paths of seeing and meditation, the various concepts of what is grasped and what grasps, in order to pacify them, it is said that there are eight kinds of antidotes. That is, on the path of seeing, there are four kinds of antidotes with the nature of four kinds of distinctions of states. On the path of meditation, there are four kinds of antidotes with the nature of four kinds of distinctions of states. It should be known that on the paths of seeing and meditation, there are eight kinds of antidotes with the nature of distinctions of states. Why should this be known? It is said that among what is grasped, etc., there are those that abide only in the nature of things, and there are those that abide in the antidote things, that is, there are two kinds of concepts of what is grasped. There are those that are the nature of the substance of the person, and there are those that are the nature of what depends on the imputation of the person, that is, there are two kinds of concepts of what grasps. On the path of seeing, there are four kinds of concepts of what is grasped and what grasps. On the path of meditation, there are also four kinds of concepts of what is grasped and what grasps. In order to pacify and abandon those unfavorable aspects of the eight kinds of concepts of what is grasped and what grasps, it should be known that there are eight kinds of antidotes. The fourth accomplishment of definite emergence is taught as: Deliberate action and equality, the benefit of sentient beings and effortlessness, extreme definite emergence and, the characteristic of aspects definite emergence, in the omniscient nature, having the object of practice of the definite emergence path, this nature of eight aspects, is called the accomplishment of definite emergence. Deliberate action, means that with the three distinctions of great sentient beings, etc., one makes the most excellent nature that is especially superior to all sentient beings. Equality, means that the nature of self-luminosity, all dharmas are empty, and equal to what is grasped and what grasps. The benefit of sentient beings, means that as long as samsara is not empty in the sky, one does the benefit of sentient beings. Effortlessness, means that without difficulty, one does the activities of all sentient beings. Extreme, means permanence and cessation.

The characteristic of attaining certainty while abiding in the equal nature of abandoning the two extremes refers to attaining the meaning of the three vehicles. "Sarvakarajnata (一切种智)" means completely knowing all aspects. "Having the sphere of practice of the path of renunciation" refers to the Shravakas and others, and the nature of the ten non-common Paramitas, which is the sphere of the Bodhisattvas. Thus, there is the determination to renounce for the sake of purpose, the determination to renounce in equality, the determination to renounce for the benefit of sentient beings, the determination to renounce without accumulation, the extreme determination to renounce, the determination to renounce upon attainment, the determination to renounce in all aspects of knowledge, and the determination to renounce on the path. Thus, the eight types of determination to renounce, established by the distinction of objects, have been spoken. Commentary on the Abhisamayalankara, Famous Part, Commentary on the First Chapter.
