。The small of the great, the middle of the great, and the great of the great. With these two orders, the discordant aspects should also be understood as nine types. The antidote aspect is subdued according to the order. The discordant aspect is to be subdued in opposition to the order, just like the example of a small light individually subduing great darkness. The path of meditation is ninefold. So, in each of those victorious mothers, from each subtle difference of the path of meditation, countless, immeasurable, and limitless merits are born. Since it is said that the path of meditation also has countless, immeasurable, and limitless distinctions, then how can it become nine types here? To this it is said: The teachings of countless, etc., are not for the ultimate meaning; the Sage taught them out of compassion to lead beings into the relative. Most excellent, from the path of meditation, countless merits, etc., will arise, which are spoken of in the Prajnaparamita, all of which cannot be shown in the ultimate truth, and the path of meditation, etc., cannot be distinguished by immeasurable, etc. So, for what reason is it said there? Thinking about this, (the answer is) in order to guide childish beings with great compassion, the Sugatas said this. Therefore, the path of meditation is indeed ninefold. Since it is the nature of discrimination, therefore, in itself, because there is no self-nature, in order to show that the path of meditation is meaningless, it is said: Things are unspeakable, decline and increase are not reasonable, what is gained by the path of meditation? The meaning of this is: Things, that is, the path of meditation, as it is said, such as attention and measurement, etc., is a thing. Unspeakable, that is, like a person, etc., it becomes an unspeakable thing. Decline and increase are not reasonable, that is, the nature of the discordant aspect and the antidote aspect, those decline and increase, etc., are not there. So, what can this path of meditation subdue, and what can it increase? Because there is not even a little, so it does nothing, this is the meaning of refutation. The answer to this is: How is enlightenment that

Zhindu. This accomplishes the desired meaning. Like enlightenment. This is the suchness, the nature of wisdom that is inseparable from duality, and also in the conventional sense, it holds all the Buddha's teachings and accomplishes the meaning of sentient beings. Likewise, this path of meditation also accurately determines its own object in the conventional sense, manifesting the meaning of accomplishing what is desired, as well as the activity of pacifying afflictions, and accomplishing the nature of generating enlightenment. Therefore, this path of meditation is not meaningless. However, what is enlightenment itself, and how should this path of meditation be understood? To this it is said: Enlightenment is the nature of suchness, and that is also its nature. This means that suchness is emptiness. Nature is self-nature. Any path of meditation is also its nature, and whatever self-nature is, so is its nature. Just as enlightenment is emptiness, it manifests and accomplishes desired meanings in the conventional sense. Likewise, this path of meditation is also the meaning of abiding. If it is said that only after enlightenment is achieved can it be used as a metaphor, and what is not achieved should not be used as a metaphor, to show this meaning it is said: The mind is not enlightened by the former. And so on. Enlightenment is the non-discriminating wisdom that manifests all dharmas in every way. It should also be understood that the nature of the path of meditation is the collection of all discriminations. The discriminations are not established simultaneously, because they do not gather at one time. Nor do they proceed separately in sequence, because if one is the cause, then the others will become meaningless faults, this refutation is abandoned by the famous ones. The mind is not enlightened by the former, and the non-rational latter is also not. Thus, for the time being, the former mind of the path of meditation does not generate enlightenment, because the latter will become a meaningless fault. The latter also does not become enlightenment, because the former of the path of meditation will become a meaningless fault. Therefore, it is very difficult to generate enlightenment, this is a rebuttal. In the manner of the lamp's example.
