The path of meditation called "Self-nature." Generating faith in them is called attention, the path of meditation is taught. Faith is one's own benefit, the benefit of self and others, and the benefit of others. These three knowable things are also small, medium, and large, each considered to be of three types. By the distinctions of small of the small, etc., these are also three each, thus, it is considered to be twenty-seven types. That is what it says. Here, believing most strongly in this Prajnaparamita with the nature of the object of grasping is faith. It should also be known as three types. Regarding "one's own benefit should be known as three types," it is said by "small, medium, and large." By the distinctions of small of the small, etc., these also each transform into three each. Thus, it is considered to be twenty-seven types. This is how it is thoroughly distinguished. Among them, the faiths of one's own benefit are as follows: small of the small, small of the medium, small of the large, medium of the small, medium of the medium, medium of the large, large of the small, large of the medium, large of the large. Likewise, one should also understand the faith of self and others and the faith of others. The distinctions of faith are indeed twenty-seven. As it is said, in order to make the Bodhisattva who practices faith rejoice, in faith, thus it is praised by the Buddhas and others. In order to show that, praise, respect, and admiration are taught. In the Prajnaparamita, in the states of faith, with three sets of nine, praise, respect, and admiration are considered. That is what it says. Thus, in the Prajnaparamita, whatever Bodhisattva generates faith, that faith, with the distinctions of small, medium, and large, is divided into twenty-seven types with three sets of nine, thus one should also know praise. Among them, praise is just praise. Respect is medium praise. Admiration is great praise. The path of meditation called dedication and attention is taught. Complete dedication is particularly excellent, its action is the most excellent. That is the aspect of being without an object.

The nature of non-reversal. Solitude and the accumulation of Buddha's merits, Those whose nature is the object of mindfulness. Skillful means and no characteristics, And the rejoicing after the Buddhas, And not belonging to the three realms, Small, medium, and large, The dedication to others is threefold, It is the nature of the great source of merit. That is to say, the accumulation of merit of the hearers and so on is distinguished by the dedication of the accumulation of merit of the Bodhisattva, so it is distinguished, and the dedication is the dedication of the distinguished. What is the difference between them? It is said that it is the Bodhisattva. The best actor is to make it common to all sentient beings, and it is the nature of dedicating merit to the perfect and complete enlightenment. The dedication is distinguished by the difference of action. It is a kind of objectless appearance. That is to say, whatever merit is dedicated, and to whatever enlightenment, with what mind, with what dedication, and the dedicators, etc., all of them are in the nature of what it is, so there is no object to dedicate. The nature of non-reversal. To understand the meaning as it is is non-reversal, and the dedication is the dedication of non-reversal. Solitude means that the dedication with the mind liberated from all perceptions is solitude, and the dedication is the dedication of solitude. Buddha's merit accumulation, those whose nature is the object of mindfulness, means the accumulation of merit of the Buddhas and so on, and their nature is impermanence and so on. In the object of mindfulness, whoever dedicates it, it is the nature of the Buddha's merit accumulation that dedicates it in the object of mindfulness. Those with skillful means mean that dedicating without leaving the conventional and ultimate truth is dedicating with skillful means. No characteristics means that dedicating without distinguishing characteristics is dedicating without characteristics. Rejoicing with the Buddhas means that all the Buddhas allow and dedicate. And not belonging to the three realms.

As it is said, dedicating without attachment to conditioned things is dedication because it does not belong to the three realms. Other dedications are of three kinds. Saying "as it is said" and so on are other dedications. It is the nature of great arising of merit. As it is said, it is unblemished, and it also has three divisions: small, medium, and large. Dedication through signless yoga is small. Dedication through non-objective yoga is medium. Dedication through yoga of suchness that is not other is large. The divisions of dedication are explained as twelve kinds. It is said that rejoicing is mental engagement. Through means and non-objectivity, one rejoices in the root of virtue. The nature of rejoicing itself is said here to be meditation. As it is said, through means, one should focus on the accumulation of merit in conventional truth, and by not taking anything as an object, one purifies the grasper and the grasped through non-objectivity. Rejoicing in the accumulation of merit of all the Tathagatas and so on is rejoicing as mental engagement. The nature of faith as mental engagement, dedication as mental engagement, and rejoicing as mental engagement are the three paths of meditation with outflows. Now, the path of meditation without outflows will be spoken of. It is of two kinds: manifest and utterly pure. Among them, the manifest is spoken of: "Its essence is the supreme nature, it does not manifest to all, and the dharmas are without objects, it is what leads to great meaning." As it is said, essence means that the dharmas such as form show the suchness that is not inverted, which is the nature of the path of meditation. Supreme means that enlightenment cannot be attained without the path of meditation, hence it is supreme. "It does not manifest to all" means that even refining through understanding the distinctions of the path of meditation is still in suchness, because all dharmas such as the aggregates of form are unborn. "The dharmas are without objects" means that by purifying through non-objectivity, the yogi in conventional truth focuses on all the dharmas of all the Buddhas.
