Sa. The main point is to explain the path of seeing. The method of the path of seeing is explained. What is it that gathers each of the generosity and so on together? With the forbearance of a single moment, what is gathered is the path of seeing here. Then, entering the lion's leap samadhi, contemplate the accordance with the principle of dependent origination and the non-accordance. Thus it is said. Generosity and so on, refers to that which ends with seven. Generosity and so on, one includes the others. Those, refers to the five that are other than oneself. Mutually, refers to one to one. Gathering, refers to the realization of the peak here. The path of seeing must be realized in a single moment. That also refers to the moment of the forbearance of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering, it must be understood in this way, and it is certain that others are not like this. The path of seeing mentioned here refers to the meaning of the mind being free, which is widely known in the scriptures. Then, the Bodhisattva enters the lion's leap samadhi and contemplates the arising in accordance with the twelve links of dependent origination, such as ignorance conditioning action, and the cessation in reverse order, such as the cessation of ignorance leading to the cessation of action. Contemplation, refers to observing, this is explaining the path of seeing. Now, in order to show the samadhi that transcends the stages on this path of cultivation, it is explained: The nine samadhis with cessation, coming and going in two ways, the consciousness belonging to the desire realm, is delimited by non-samadhi, the samadhi of transcendence, one, two, three, four, and five, after surpassing six, seven, and eight, proceeds differently until cessation. Thus it is said. The consciousness belonging to the desire realm, is delimited by non-samadhi, refers to the fact that the nature of the desire realm is fluctuating, therefore it must be delimited from the wisdom of discrimination. The samadhi with cessation, refers to the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions, with the cessation samadhi as the end point. Cessation samadhi and so on, refers to the nine successive samadhis. Coming and going, refers to cultivating in order from the first dhyana.

It goes all the way to the cessation. Then, starting again from cessation, in order to meditate in reverse order, it returns to the first dhyana. Understanding these two ways means going back and forth in a reverse order. From cessation to the first dhyana, and then in what way does one enter into the samadhi of one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight in succession? It is the samadhi of cessation, that is, entering into that state. Therefore, this sequential contemplation is different because it is done in different ways, and it is called the samadhi of sequential transcendence. This is mentioned in the path of practice of a Bodhisattva. Among the thirty-six kinds of conceptualizations to be abandoned in the path of practice, the first nine kinds of conceptualizations to be grasped are taught, namely: brief and extensive, and the Buddha's, teachings not fully grasped, etc., the three times without merit, the excellent path has three kinds, this is the conceptualization to be grasped, which is the object of the path. Brief, refers to briefly teaching the Dharma to sentient beings, that is, the brief conceptualization. Extensive, refers to extensively teaching the Dharma to the same object, that is, the extensive conceptualization. The Buddha's teachings not fully grasped, refers to the part of the Buddha's teachings that is not fully grasped, that is, the conceptualization of non-existence. The three times without merit, merit refers to rejoicing and praise, but here there are none of these. If this is the case, what will happen? The three times, that is, in the stage of the path of preparation, the conceptualization of no merit; in the stage of the path of seeing, the conceptualization of no merit; in the stage of the path of practice, the conceptualization of no merit. The excellent path has three kinds, refers to the three Bodhi paths, that is, the conceptualization of the path of preparation, the conceptualization of the path of seeing, the conceptualization of the path of practice. The conceptualization to be grasped is one, refers to the fact that the initial conceptualization to be grasped itself is divided into nine kinds. What is the difference? It is said in the sutra that it is the object of the path.
