is the nature of. It is said that in order to attain perfect and complete enlightenment, as long as there is no obstacle and it can be clearly distinguished, the nature of the accumulation of merit inherent in one's own cause is the third. Cause refers to the Bodhi attained through the two accumulations. So, what is said in order to attain this perfect and complete enlightenment? It is said: Defilements are exhausted and not born, Wisdom is called Bodhi. Because there is no exhaustion and no birth, It should be known in order. Here, the first verse speaks of the nature of Bodhi that the Shravakas abide in and then seek. The latter half is the juxtaposition of the nature of Bodhi that the Mahayana seeks after. Defilements refer to afflictive and cognitive obscurations, etc. Exhaustion and non-birth refer to the exhaustion of what has been born and the non-birth of what has not been born. These refer to the wisdom of exhaustion and non-birth, which is called Bodhi. The nature of the wisdom of the exhaustion and non-birth of defilements is the meaning of Bodhi. There is only one nature of Bodhi. Abandoning these and accepting others with reason is called the nature of Bodhi that becomes Mahayana. Defilements refer to fabricated self and what belongs to self, etc., because there is no exhaustion and no birth. Therefore, it should be known that there is no birth because there is no exhaustion, there is no metaphor and no non-birth, and this is the Bodhi of Mahayana to be realized. Mahayana is pure in nature. The nature of Mahayana is complete purity. The defilement of all dharmas refers to suddenness, so it should be known that its nature has no exhaustion and no birth, and this is the meaning of Bodhi. Now, in order to refute the other nature of Bodhi that the previously mentioned wisdom of exhaustion and non-birth is Bodhi, it is said: On the nature of no cessation, By the path called seeing, What is the extinction of conceptual thought? What is the attainment of non-birth? It is said that because the nature of all dharmas is the grasper and the grasped.

Therefore, it is the nature of emptiness. That is, without beginning and end, it exists in everything. Then, contrary to this, the nature of the fabricated object of grasping and the grasper, and all the defilements such as afflictions, do not exist here. Therefore, what is exhausted and unborn in the various conceptualizations of the path of seeing, what is obtained? Because there is nothing, so it is considered. If all dharmas are the nature of the object of grasping and the grasper, then it should be said that the obscuration of knowledge itself has been exhausted, then how should it be explained? To this, (the scripture) says: Other dharmas also exist, and they are also the manifestation of knowledge, what is called the exhaustion of obscurations? I am surprised at this. This is to say that the skandha of form and other dharmas exist as things, and holding these dharmas, the obscurations of the Buddha Bhagavan's knowledge have been exhausted, I am surprised at this. The skandha of form and so on can be analyzed, and the fabricated obscuration of knowledge there is due to my ability. Therefore, how are the obscurations of knowledge exhausted? So it is considered. Then, how are the obscurations of knowledge exhausted? To this, (the scripture) says: There is nothing to be removed here, and there is nothing to be added, look at the truth as it is, and liberation is achieved when the truth is seen as it is. This is to say that here, it refers to the non-dual mind, with a bright continuum, all the dharmas of self-nature return to the classification made by discrimination, and the completely examined object of grasping and the grasper are all emptiness. Therefore, for this emptiness, there is nothing to be removed. The nature of the mind that is its basis, from that, emptiness will also be removed. There is nothing to be added here, referring to the nature of mind and so on. Then what should be done? To the mind, (the scripture) says: Look at the truth as it is, and liberation is achieved when the truth is seen as it is. This is to say that to look is to realize it with self-awareness. As it is, it is to realize it with valid cognition. Truth is suchness, that is, the nature of emptiness. Whoever sees the truth as it is and is liberated, will be liberated from the bondage of samsara. The things that arise from opportunities such as Bodhi have been told.
