One should also generate the mind of enlightenment, therefore, generating the mind of enlightenment pervades all of these. "Nature" means the nature of abandoning attachment to nirvana for the sake of sentient beings and not completely abandoning all afflictions. "Its activity" means that as long as samsara is not empty, acting for the benefit of beings as it should be is the activity of a Bodhisattva. Knowing the path is unique to Bodhisattvas, therefore, some think that the path of Shravakas and others should not be taught here. Bodhisattvas should purify the path of Shravakas and others with their own wisdom and practice it, therefore, the path of Shravakas is taught. Regarding the principle of knowing the path: Among the four noble truths, through the gate of non-apprehension of characteristics, this Shravaka path should be known. That is to say, in the truth of suffering, there are four aspects: impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and peace. Peace means the meaning of selflessness. In the truth of origin, there are eight aspects: arising, cause, production, condition, disease, result, bubble, and unpleasantness. Furthermore, in the truths of suffering and origin, there are four aspects: otherness, destructibility, impermanence, and quiescence. Furthermore, in those, there are three aspects: fearfulness, harmfulness, and leading. In the truth of cessation, there are seven aspects: self-nature, peace, separation, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and unconditionedness. In the truth of the path, there are four aspects: path, knowledge, accomplishment, and deliverance. These are the methods for Shravakas to enter the city of Nirvana. Bodhisattvas do not apprehend the nature of the grasper and the grasped in these aspects, and with the nature of complete focus on non-duality, individually know this path of suchness.

Thus, one attains complete and perfect enlightenment. The paths such as the heat stage of the Hearers are taught separately. Thus, the Bodhisattva's complete and perfect enlightenment should be practiced in this way, as it is taught. In the path of the Noble Hearers: Because form and so on are empty, the emptinesses are inseparable, those heats are unapprehended, therefore they are considered the peak. There, by means of characteristics and so on, the patience that prevents dwelling is from the ten grounds and so on, by showing non-dwelling extensively, it is said to transform into the supreme Dharma. Why? Because the Buddha knows, because he does not see the various Dharmas. That is to say: the emptiness of each of the aggregates such as form, and the inseparability of the emptinesses of form and so on, are the heat stage. Knowing them is the peak because form and so on are unapprehended. There, it is said that patience is the prevention of dwelling on permanence and impermanence in form and so on. The ten grounds are said to be the ten grounds beginning with the Joyful Ground, and the non-dwelling extensively shows the collection of words on all Dharmas, that is, it shows that everything cannot be promised by the way of apprehending and apprehended. However, how should one know that all Dharmas do not dwell in the way of investigation, and that the nature of individual awareness is merely the way of clarity? To this it is said: Why? Because the Buddha knows. That is to say, the Bhagavan did not truly see the investigated aggregates, realms, and sources of the Dharmas, but rather saw them only as the nature of clarity, not so. Because the Buddha Bhagavan becomes without a master. If it is said that in the conventional truth, the Buddha Bhagavan does not exist? If it is said that the collection of the other, different from the inanimate, is not established, then because the conventional completion is without dependence, it will become the fault of non-establishment, this is said to be the realization of the supreme Dharma. In the path of the Noble Hearers: that is, in the path of the Hearers, one should also know the Bodhisattva's intention. Desiring to show that the path of the Hearers is more excellent than the path of the Solitary Buddhas, it is said that the Buddha of the Solitary Buddhas is more excellent than the Buddha of the Hearers. Realizing the self-born
