The stages of meditation practice are explained in eight aspects. These paths themselves become contradictory aspects, and by refuting the eight kinds of conceptualizations, they become the opposing side. Twenty emptinesses are to be declared, namely: inner and outer and both, the emptiness of things and, directions and the path of nirvana, cause-born and other, transcending limits, etc., without abandonment, the nature of all things, birth, etc., all dharmas, transcendence, etc., connection and other forms, the emptiness of space should be declared, dharma and other external things, the emptiness of each self-nature, are considered the twenty emptinesses. Thus it is said. Among them, the so-called emptiness means that in all places, luminosity is the nature of being examined, therefore it is emptiness, Maitreya and others think so. The so-called inner means that with the nature of the five senses such as the eyes, the body is empty, that is, inner emptiness. The so-called outer means that forms and so on outside the body are empty, that is, outer emptiness. The so-called both means that what is not outside the body, and the nails, etc., which are not covered by the body's senses, their nature is empty, therefore, that is inner and outer emptiness. The so-called emptiness of things means that people and so on are empty, that is the emptiness of emptiness. The so-called directions means that the ten directions are empty, that is great emptiness. The so-called path of nirvana means that nirvana, including the path, is empty, that is ultimate emptiness. Cause-born and other, among them, the three realms born from cause are empty, that is conditioned emptiness. Other refers to the unborn and so on, that is unconditioned emptiness. Transcending limits, etc., without abandonment, the nature of all things, among them, transcending limits refers to permanence, its emptiness is transcending limits emptiness. The word "etc." refers to without beginning and without end, that is, what has no beginning and no end, that is samsara. Its emptiness is without beginning and without end emptiness. Abandonment refers to distraction, what does not have it is without abandonment, that is without outflows.
