A Bodhisattva perfects even a Hearer. Whatever serves as the basis for all phenomena through the accumulation of merit and wisdom, those are of its kind. Likewise, whatever serves as the support for the Dharmas of a Pratyekabuddha Bodhisattva, those are of its kind. Similarly, whatever serves as the support for the Dharmas of a Perfectly Complete Buddha Bodhisattva, that is of its kind. Just as from among various distinct pots, some are pots of sesame oil, some are pots of butter, and some are pots of honey. Having explained the support for practice, now the object will be stated. The object is all phenomena, which are virtuous and so forth. As it is said: "Worldly realizations, and those desiring transcendence; contaminated and uncontaminated Dharmas; and those that are conditioned and unconditioned; common Dharmas of disciples, and those that are not common when attained." Here, initially, all phenomena are virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral, divided into three types. Virtue is the path without defilement. Non-virtue is killing and so forth, because it gives rise to happiness and suffering. Neutrality is physical actions and so forth. From among those virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral phenomena, like a rotten seed, neutral phenomena are set aside, and the virtuous and non-virtuous phenomena are summarized into four types: worldly and transcendent, contaminated and uncontaminated. Among these, worldly phenomena are the five aggregates and so forth, related to all ordinary beings. Transcendent phenomena are meditative quiescence and so forth, perfectly gathered by all noble beings. Contaminated phenomena are the five aggregates of grasping, which are not the antidote to the view of self. Uncontaminated phenomena are the mindfulness and so forth, which are the antidote to the view of self. Furthermore, those virtuous and non-virtuous phenomena are of four types: conditioned, unconditioned, common to disciples, and said to be uncommon. Conditioned phenomena are dependent on causes and conditions, such as the desire realm and so forth. Unconditioned phenomena are not dependent on causes and conditions, such as emptiness.

Myself and so on. The common disciple is the four dhyanas and so on, which are diligently practiced by all the noble families. The uncommon is the ten powers and four fearlessnesses and so on, which are accustomed by becoming a fully enlightened Buddha. Thus, virtue, non-virtue, and non-indication, three, four, and four, are said to be eleven kinds of objects. In order to practice, one should speak of what is to be done: All beings are supreme, mind, abandonment, and realization, these three, with the three great ones, are self-arisen, know this to be done. Among them, for whose sake the accumulation of merit and wisdom is generated, that is what is to be done. What is that? It is said: All beings are supreme, that is, to perform all kinds of supreme for all beings is all beings are supreme. What is the difference? It is said: Mind and so on, that is, mind, abandonment, and realization are three. Among them, among the three great ones, the great mind is to perform all kinds of all dharmas. Great abandonment is to be separated from the obscurations of affliction and the obscurations of knowledge and their habits. Great realization is to obtain all the qualities of the Buddha, such as power and fearlessness. What is symbolized by the three great ones is the supreme being, and this is what is to be done for practice. Self-arisen is the fully enlightened Buddha, not the hearers and so on. Therefore, Bodhisattvas should practice in this way. After explaining the basis of practice, the object, and what is to be done, now the four practices should be explained, among which the part of practice is explained: Giving and so on are six kinds, they are each held separately, the armor practice, if it is of black nature, six groups of six are said as they are. Giving and so on, among them, there are three kinds of giving, namely, wealth, fearlessness, and Dharma. The precepts of collecting virtuous dharmas, the precepts of protection, and the precepts of benefiting sentient beings. Patience that does not care about suffering, and to the harm done by others

Not thinking and enduring with certainty and understanding of the Dharma. The diligence of application, the diligence of non-laziness, and the diligence of armor. Abandoning one's own faults, generating supernatural powers, and the samadhi of dwelling happily in the present Dharma. The wisdom of the nature of listening, the nature of thinking, and the wisdom of the nature of meditation. Thus, each has three aspects. Even one nature of the six perfections should be established as the six aspects of the perfections, because it is the armor of the bodhisattva's practice. Among them, giving alms, abandoning the fruits of the hearers and so on, and not thinking that one should give alms until one attains enlightenment is the patience of definitely believing in the Dharma. Diligently practicing this again and again and being happy to teach it to others is diligence. Completely abandoning stinginess and so on, and focusing one's mind on that very act of giving is meditation. When dedicating that alms to perfect enlightenment, recognizing that all of these are like illusions is wisdom. The single perfection of giving is also through the six perfections. Thus, keeping the precepts, perfecting patience, initiating diligence, practicing meditation, and generating wisdom, and also dedicating the fruits to all sentient beings, the nature of the six perfections also transforms into the six perfections. Therefore, six sets of six are thirty-six, which is the practice of armor. Secondly, the entry into practice should be explained. The practice of entry is to initiate progress for the sake of enlightenment. It is also taught in nine aspects according to the distinction of places. Samadhi, formless giving, etc., the path and love, etc., having no object and having an object, the three spheres being completely pure, doing for the sake of benefit and the six superknowledges, in the manner of all-knowing, the practice of entering into the Great Vehicle should be known as ascending. Thus it is said, meditation is the four meditations.
