Completely pacified by the power of blessing is the seventh. If I were to act with a mind particularly devoted to perfect and complete enlightenment, then the demons would not bless by saying, "Go far away from this person, non-human," but rather with the true power of blessing, the non-humans would flee far away, this is the eighth. After directly realizing the characteristics of oneself as a Buddha and a Bodhisattva, relying on a virtuous spiritual friend is the ninth. Studying the Prajnaparamita in all ways is the tenth. Not being attached to anything is the eleventh. Approaching the enlightenment of the Buddha is the twelfth. Thus, there are twelve signs. After proclaiming the signs of a yogi who has reached the peak, the increase of that was spoken of. As it says, "As many beings as there are in Jambudvipa, the virtues of the supreme Buddha, etc., are taken as examples many times, the sixteenfold increase is the self." This means that the distinctions of the state of Samadhi becoming higher are the increases. If one wonders how to know the sixteen aspects, it is said in the sutra, such as "Jambudvipa," etc., by the number of sentient beings dwelling in Jambudvipa, using that number as a metaphor, the merit of making offerings to that number of Buddhas, is taken as an example. Making metaphors many times for the virtues of offering to those Buddhas, by dividing the metaphors into sixteen aspects, one should understand the increase as sixteen aspects. Among these, contemplating the Prajnaparamita is one increase. Separately obtaining the forbearance of the non-arising of all dharmas is the second. Not focusing on the characteristics of the object and the dharma of the one who realizes is the third. Obtaining the particularly excellent ten virtues, etc., is the fourth. Obtaining the samadhi of the formless absorptions is the fifth. Approaching before all the gods is the sixth. Subduing all the demons is the seventh. The stage of a Bodhisattva itself, teaching the Dharma as equal to the Buddha, that stage is the eighth. Studying complete purification is the ninth. Becoming the realm of activity of the Buddha is the tenth. The fruit of the Buddha himself

The sign of obtaining (supreme) qualities is the eleventh. Not generating a (mundane) mind in accordance with the perfections is the twelfth. Because form and other phenomena are established as self-cognizant, the sense consciousness that arises together with form and other phenomena does not arise, which is the thirteenth. The wisdom that gathers the perfections is the fourteenth. Individually obtaining all perfections is the fifteenth. Being completely close to perfect and complete enlightenment is the sixteenth. Thus, these are the sixteen aspects of increase. Now, the teaching is spoken: Not abandoning the benefit of sentient beings, of the all-knowing three dharmas, the complete and unsurpassed, the certain is the manifest realization. As it is said, all aspects of all-knowingness, etc., the mind of enlightenment belonging to the three all-knowing ones, such as the arising of the mind, etc., are completely perfected and become unsurpassed, that is, not abandoning the benefit of sentient beings, this is the definitive statement of the peak manifest realization. "Mind abiding everywhere," which was previously briefly stated, is itself samadhi. Therefore, from the perspective of samadhi, it is said: By using the four continents and emptiness, etc., the two emptinesses and three emptinesses as examples, with many merits, samadhi is fully proclaimed. The meaning of this is understood as follows: The four continents, etc., the emptiness, the two emptinesses, and the sentient beings abiding in the three-thousandfold great thousand world system, among them, whether it is the accumulation of perfections, etc., or the accumulation of compassion, etc., and the immeasurable samadhi of their nature, all their merits are taken as examples. Therefore, the samadhi that moves with the nature of many merits is called "mind abiding everywhere." Seeing and meditating, each path, four kinds of discriminations, and four kinds of antidotes. What was previously briefly stated is spoken in this regard: In entering and returning, the apprehended discriminations are each, the nature of nine, as the object, the nature of non-object should be known. Among them, first is the apprehended.
