Therefore, seeing cause and effect as different for all sentient beings would lead to the extreme of permanence or annihilation. Even though the result arises as not originating from earth, etc., its cause would not increase either, because the nature of earth itself and the reversed object of focus is merely reversed from a different kind, without any difference. Similarly, the stream of wisdom arising from knowledge, as previously described, will also not be exhausted, because nothing whatsoever completely grasps its nature. Nor will it increase, because there is no difference in the nature of being devoid of constant clinging, etc. The three causes of perfect enlightenment have been explained. Enlightenment is the nature of the exhaustion of obscurations and non-arising, and these are also the nature of realizing that dependent arising is empty, without end and without arising, but not those who, having abandoned obscurations, become objects of non-arising, because all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. The wisdom practiced on the path of seeing is also the antidote to ignorance because it takes as its object the selfless nature of dependent arising. It is mentioned, "Any Bodhisattva," etc. The term "unborn" means that whoever understands with wisdom that dependent arising is unborn, and that this is endless, will attain self-arisen wisdom. It is not otherwise, because it is obscured by the cataract of ignorance. "Destroying" means removing the darkness of ignorance, the opposing side of all perfections, because suchness itself has become the object of experience. If wisdom alone can eliminate the opposing side of other perfections, it is because that wisdom has suchness as its object and is therefore the antidote to everything, because giving, etc., without focusing on the three spheres cannot eliminate the thought that causes stinginess, etc. Therefore, they cannot be called perfections. Giving and so on, distinguished by supreme wisdom, in a single moment

Furthermore, the perfection of pāramitā is the basis for the term, because they are the nature of those (pāramitās), and because they can ward off all opposing factors. For example, when the mind of giving arises, it is morality because of loving-kindness towards sentient beings. With the nature of patience towards those who scold or demand, it is patience. Because of the joy of protecting beings, it is diligence. Because there is no distraction towards other bodhi, it is meditation. Because of individually knowing things as illusory, it is wisdom. Similarly, when the mind of morality and so on arises, it should also be compared in this way. As it is said in the *Subhūti Sūtra*: "Subhūti, when a bodhisattva practices giving, the loving-kindness of body, speech, and mind will abide." And so on, "Thus abiding in the perfection of giving, all six perfections will be perfected." This is what it says. From this, it can be known that the path of seeing is only a moment, because only in the moment of the mind arising can all the qualities of the pāramitās be manifested. If so, then only in the Extremely Joyful Ground, all the pāramitās are purified, then wouldn't the other grounds become meaningless? In fact, all the grounds are of the same nature, and compared to the transcendental state, there is no difference. The qualities of the pure worldly state, some are accomplished by the moment of seeing, and some are accomplished by cultivation. The establishment of the differences of the grounds is also based on this, so there is no fault. How does the path of cultivation, which is the nature of habituation from seeing, arise from the path of seeing with such a nature? It should also be known that in the state of equipoise, it also has the nature of non-attachment, even if one abides in meditation and so on, one does not abide in it because of the power of seeing. Therefore, "great power" and so on are proclaimed. "Great power" refers to the ability to abide in the first dhyāna and so on in sequence with proper attention and so on. Among them, the first dhyāna refers to the single-minded virtue, which is the peak of the desire realm.

are obstacles. The second is the obstacle of conduct. The third is the obstacle of mental ease. The fourth is the obstacle of happiness. These four meditations, as well as the formless realms of infinite space, etc., and the cessation attainment. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells having fully accomplished the first dhyana, which is separated from desires, separated from unwholesome dharmas, with thinking and examining, born of separation, and possessing joy and happiness. Similarly, he dwells having fully accomplished the cessation of perception and feeling. Having arisen from that cessation attainment, it is extensively taught up to the attainment of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. Sixth fascicle. "Relying" means conceptually distinguishing the object to be grasped. "Dwelling" means conceptually distinguishing the grasper, and not acting there, because the path of meditation is the obstacle to all aspects of conceptualization. Thus, if one is free from attachment to the meditation born of non-conceptualization, then what need is there to dwell in it? To show this, "However," etc., is spoken. "Meditation consciousness" means that meditations are merely characterized by consciousness. In some texts, it appears as "with limbs of meditation," and there, since it abides with limbs such as great joy, it should be regarded as "with limbs of meditation." Therefore, it will be explained that even though one does not conceptualize, dwelling in meditation and so forth in that way is because one must accomplish complete enlightenment through the succession of such a mind of enlightenment. The path of meditation has been explained. That which is supreme is the limit of uninterrupted samadhi, and to show that the Bodhisattva's meditation is only vajra-like samadhi, "attaining supreme wisdom," etc., is mentioned. "Attaining supreme wisdom" means the wisdom of spontaneous accomplishment without characteristics attained in the stage of the great earth. Meditation
