It is said for the sake of beings to be tamed, but it is not truly existent. As it is said in the scriptures, 'Monks, there is a burden, and there is a bearer of the burden,' and so on. Thus it is said. In this way, by means of examples, it is shown that all dharmas are without self, and in order to connect this with the Bodhisattva, it is said, 'Which Bodhisattva' and so on. 'Thus' means like that. 'Which one, like the garland-holder, completely understands all dharmas, understands like that,' should be connected with this sentence. 'Which one, like that, views all dharmas as without self, does not touch or make Nirvana an object, that is, the Nirvana of the Hearers,' should be connected with this sentence. To look at all beings with great compassion is because of remembering that all dharmas are unattainable. 'He' refers to the Bodhisattva. 'Dwelling' refers to practicing wisdom, 'Thus Gone Ones' is a superfluous word. In order to show that it is the peak, it is said 'again' and so on. 'This' refers to the Bodhisattva in the state of being at the peak. The complete understanding of the Prajnaparamita, from the perspective of self-nature, is what is said, 'What is this?' The word 'which' should be regarded as abandonment, because clinging to its self-nature and so on is unreasonable. From the perspective of connection, it is what is said, 'Whose is it?' The word 'who' is the same as before, because there is no self or anything related to it. From the perspective of the object, it is what is said, 'From where does it come, understanding that all dharmas are empty.' Because all dharmas of defilement and purification, the objects of dharma and the dharmas themselves, and that emptiness itself, are all unreasonable. 'Understanding' means to investigate. 'Without cowardice' means that because of understanding that everything is only mind, one will not be completely confused, this is its synonym. The rest is easy to understand. Like this, from the gradually increasing peak, the patience of understanding the nature of no grasping and no grasper

Merely one aspect of it (emptiness) shows that the nature of samadhi is born, and in order to show that form and so on are the nature of perverted perception. Therefore, it is said, "If one unknowingly clings to form," etc. Among them, "if" refers to a hundred. "Unknowingly" means not understanding the meaning of not being born from the beginning. Clinging to form means clinging to the general and specific characteristics of form and so on. The so-called "thinking" means that even if one clings to the aggregates as the nature of emptiness. "To the characteristic" means to the characteristic, which is the meaning of perverted perception. Why? Because it is said, "Do not believe in the unborn place." Because unborn itself is the place to abandon all obscuring habits, it is a place. Not believing in it means not believing, and the rest means "because of what." In order to counteract this perversion, in order to show non-perversion, it is said, "What is not form, not feeling," etc. "Mind" means to summarize all the aggregates of formation. Or, because all actions are the nature of mind's manifestation and creation, and are the nature of the lord of mind, then what are the aggregates of formation? It is the six consciousnesses that are said. The so-called "not acting" means that because form and so on are the appearance of unreal nature, in order to understand that form and so on are separated from the nature of the object of grasping, this is small patience. The so-called "acting without dwelling" means acting without relying on anything, because fundamentally, all defiled and pure dharmas cannot attain liberation without being born. The so-called "unborn," if it is true, then relying on what to observe, so as to prove the pure nature, therefore, the liberation of unborn cannot be established, this is following patience. If there is no action, then the corresponding actor cannot be seen as action, therefore, for action and so on, the appearance of the actor is also invisible.

If forms and other characteristics do not exist in any way, then all dharmas are not of the nature of being able to be grasped, because there is no agent. This is its concluding statement. Even if there is no agent, why is it not perceived there like individual ordinary beings? Therefore, it is said, "Thus wisdom is shown," because it is not moved by all the characteristics of wisdom. In order to clarify this, it is said, "Unborn, possessing intelligence," meaning that because he believes that all dharmas are unborn by the power of great patience, therefore he does not perceive those characteristics, because believing in the unborn is the antidote to all attachment to characteristics. This is great patience. Thus, after gradually obtaining great patience, because the path of seeing is obtained without interruption, it is said, "Touching the supreme peace of the samadhi of the supreme state of dharma, gathered by uninterrupted samadhi," because for him, it is the nature of the uniqueness of virtue, so the samadhi is pure, such as courageous conduct and so on. Because there is no distraction of grasping, it is peaceful. Because it is the cause of quickly realizing enlightenment, it is supreme. Touching those is that the Bodhisattva, as he is, makes the form of his own name and meaning as the object. Combining it, it is said in the extensive explanation of the Prajnaparamita, what is the samadhi called courageous conduct among them? The samadhi by which one experiences the realm of all samadhis, this is called the samadhi of courageous conduct. It is extensively explained like this. These are the small superiorities of dharma. In order to show the medium, it is said, "The Bodhicitta, who thus abides here in peace," and so on. "Here" refers to the samadhi of courageous conduct and so on. "Abiding in peace" means that because there is no distraction of grasping and conceptualization, the mind is extremely peaceful, this is its concluding statement. That is the Bodhisattva of the supreme state of dharma. It is said, "The Tathagata of the past."
