It is said, "What is non-existent." The statement "That exists" is redundant, because whatever objects are grasped by children are fabricated objects. Therefore, they think that only the nature that is separate from fabrication is truly existent. It is said, "For this, the connection called name is non-existent." Because of this, the dharma is not existent as it is described, so the word 'non-existent' is spoken. Thus, it is not existent, therefore it is said to be non-existent. This is discriminating non-existence. If form and other various differentiated dharmas are not existent, how can this be non-existent? No, because form and other natures are empty, just as previously stated. As in the Bhagavati Sutra, Shariputra, form is empty of inner emptiness, therefore it is non-existent, and so on. The aggregates and others are objects grasped by discrimination, and it should be understood that one is dedicated to diligently establishing the former. To show this, it is said, "Children think that is." 'Children' refers to those who do not understand the nature of dharma. 'That is' refers to establishing in the manner previously stated, the meaning that differentiated dharmas such as form are non-existent. 'Examination' refers to examining names and forms themselves. This is a synonym for "after examination," which is the discrimination of clinging to the appearance of names and forms. After examining in this way, what will be done? It is said, "Becoming non-existent and existent." Non-existence is the nature of slander. Existence is the nature of the extreme of superimposition. 'Becoming' is causing, which is the discrimination of attachment arising to the two extremes. To explain that this itself is a fault in nature, it is said, "Existence and non-existence, these two are non-existent dharmas." It means that because form and others are not truly existent, so for them, first there is superimposition, and then there is discrimination of existence and non-existence, how can it become an undeluded nature? In any way.

It is not appropriate to regard the non-existent as ultimately real by imagining it as non-existent or imagining it as non-existent depending on place, time, and form. Perverted views are also said to be fierce obstacles to liberation from the three realms because they are the very nature of not fully understanding all defilements and purifications. This is imagining without understanding all defilements and purifications. If someone asks, "Since it is an obstacle to definite liberation, even if there is imagination of existence and non-existence, then how much generosity and other perfections are accomplished, it is only a flawless armor and there is no contradiction?" That is not the case. Because those who are endowed with the aforementioned perverted views cannot abide in generosity and other perfections without believing that all dharmas are selfless. If one is separated from the purity of the three spheres, one cannot rely on the term "perfection" such as generosity. If one does not believe that "form is empty of form" up to "enlightenment is empty of enlightenment," then they are not abiding in the perfection of generosity, and so on.

In order to eliminate through thorough explanation, it is said, "Here, the five aggregates should be known as like illusions," etc. This means that because the person has been previously prohibited in all ways, and the aggregates are also devoid of their own nature, Bodhisattvas should know these to be just like illusions. Saying illusion is to approximate the appearance from non-existence. If, supposing they are like illusions, then it is not the nature of all self-existence appearing from nothing, because the basis of similarity is slightly different. The answer is, "Illusions are not different, nor are the aggregates," etc. This means that the aggregates, etc., and illusions, are not different because they are of the nature of a single delusion. Giving examples is to refer to worldly conventions, this is his idea. In order to eliminate through two ways, namely, the aspect of grasping that "I," etc., are merely imputed, and the aspect of conception that arises from thinking that things exist, therefore it is said, "Free from various thoughts," etc. The thought of variousness is to establish I, etc., as many, that is, to be free from it. If there is no object to be grasped, then grasping it is unreasonable, therefore, even to that extent, the aspect of grasping appears, as it is said, "Because it relies only on mind, one should know that there is no entity outside. Likewise, by focusing on Suchness, one should eliminate it from only mind." Therefore, because there is no reversal, one practices peacefully and quietly. The rest is easy to understand. Therefore, through this, by thoroughly explaining that the aggregates are merely illusions, the nature of other-powered is explained, and the same should be applied to others. Whatever relies on worldly conventions and is explained from the aspect of things, all of that is completely imputed. If someone asks, wouldn't one be afraid of the explanation of such wisdom that is difficult to believe? The answer is, "Possessing a virtuous friend," etc. This explains that there is no fear through two causes, from the power of reliance, it is because of possessing a virtuous friend. From the power of one's own wisdom, it is because of possessing insight.
