From the very beginning of generating Bodhicitta up to the unsurpassed wisdom, if one feels weary at the thought of looking at this for just a single day and night, and does not consider it a problem, then one should recognize that this is initiating diligence. This is because thoughts such as "heading towards unsurpassed Bodhi" will arise. The so-called "generating the mind" refers to starting from the initial generation of the mind aspiring to Bodhi, which is the remaining part. The so-called "just one day and night" means just one day and night, that is, just that amount of time. The so-called "if one thinks" means if one thinks, that is, connected to "in mind." The remaining part can be completed by understanding the meaning. If one hears "achievement can be attained through diligence," because of discouragement, the perfection of diligence will not be fulfilled. Therefore, thoughts such as "if" will arise, and the so-called "from saying" means from speaking. What is that? It is "Mount Meru is destroyed" and so on. The so-called "destroyed" means shattered. The so-called "after" means below. The so-called "to be obtained " means that unsurpassed Bodhi will be attained. The so-called "if" means if one hears such words. The so-called "generating a weary mind" means thinking "then I am not a vessel for Bodhi," thereby generating weariness. The so-called "if one also considers the extent" means that, like this, Mount Meru is so huge that I cannot destroy it; if one thinks like this, that is its meaning. In order to completely abandon it, thereby showing perfect diligence. "If" and so on are said. The so-called "that" refers to the Bodhisattva, that is, generating the mind after hearing something like what was said before. What is it like? It is "what difficulty is there in this little attempt," that is, thinking that destroying Mount Meru and attaining Bodhi is a very easy thing. Therefore, "just for a moment" is said, thinking that in just a moment, Mount Meru would be destroyed like dust and discarded. The so-called "initiating diligence" is because this is diligence that is in accordance with the perfection of accumulation. Therefore, thoughts such as "like this, it will not be long" will arise, which is just understanding the meaning. For people and so on, being inverted is self.

Because clinging to the concept of "where," etc., to the body, etc., even if one strives, it becomes as distant from perfect enlightenment as the earth is from the sky. Having mentioned "going," etc., "to do meaning" means not only striving for one's own benefit, but also thinking of working for the benefit of the world. However, it is because of laziness that one abides in the concept of self, that is, manifestly clinging to self. Being inverted towards self and what belongs to self is the cause of becoming an obstacle to the arising of purification. In order to clarify this, "from the all-knowing nature," etc., is mentioned. Therefore, only the absence of manifest clinging to the body, etc., is the qualification for unsurpassed wisdom. Since diligence is the supreme perfection, "when" etc., is mentioned. Why be separated from the concept of body, etc.? In this way, the concept is reversed, that is, the reversed concept of sentient beings, etc., is a synonym for the sphere of reality. Abiding in that is because the three wheels of diligence are completely pure, so it is thought. To show that, "non-dual Dharma practice" is mentioned. "This" means only this, because the perfection of diligence has one characteristic of being non-inverted in that very thing. It is not so, because if there is no complete purification of diligence, there is no enlightenment. If that is the case, then even the term "perfection" cannot be established, because it depends on the nature of the cause of unsurpassed wisdom, so it is thought. To show that, "enlightenment is peaceful," etc., is mentioned, that this is the perfection of diligence that desires enlightenment, spoken by the Thus-Gone One, but not by others, so it is thought. The opposing side of the perfection of patience is of four kinds, the cause of harm is because if there is a cause of harm, anger is possible. In order to eliminate that, even to those who harm, by cultivating the limb of patience, one becomes completely delighted with the mind of benefiting, so "if from another," etc., is mentioned. What is said here is untimely.
