The meaning of 'to generate' is, if one generates a mind that delights in the vehicle of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Non-abiding in equanimity is because it contradicts the perfection of abandoning all aspects. A wild mind is because it is not a suitable vessel for the perfection of all wisdom. A distracted mind is because it has not become a vessel for the perfection of benefiting others. Here, it is said that 'all qualities of the Buddha are lost due to reasoning,' meaning that inferior attention is not a suitable vessel for perfect enlightenment, and therefore it is the nature of obtaining complete loss. 'Hearing is like a broken boat' means that, like hearing from a broken boat, one cannot cross to the other shore of the entire ocean of knowable things, which is its summary. Therefore, for Bodhisattvas, it is easy to be distracted by attachment to the enjoyment of existence, and by attachment to objects, because this is not completely contradictory to perfect enlightenment. Others have also said and so on. 'Hearers and Solitary Conquerors are free from the vehicle' means being free from delighting in other ropes. 'If the Bodhi mind rejoices' means if one definitely generates the mind of perfect enlightenment. 'Always abiding in equanimity' means that because it is a vessel for Buddhahood, one will not be distracted by striving for desirable qualities, this is what is intended. The opposing side of the perfection of diligence is sixfold: laziness is the absence of it, because one always wears armor for the sake of benefiting the world. Beings and so on have also been said. Because of attachment to this and that place of attachment. Beings are those who are filled with this and that by the course of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas, and because they are defiled, they are persons, they are the five inverted aggregates of close acquisition. For whom, for the sake of them, that is, for taming them, are heroes, that is, those Bodhisattvas who have purity through the diligence of the armor of the mind, are called Bodhisattvas. Holding onto pride, that is, like a maidservant's water jug, because with the intention of destroying pride, even if despised by others, one does not change, therefore one always enters into the activities of beings. Diligence says

Etcetera things will happen. Mentioning "maid water pot" etc. is to show that there is no pride in evil deeds. The so-called "no right" means no autonomy. The so-called "lord's right" means becoming a slave of another master. The so-called "heroes" refers to relying on the power to fully mature oneself, with the power of diligence not being overwhelmed by one's own hostile forces. In order to clarify the matter of the maid becoming a slave to the master, so it is said "Did you scold?" and so on. The so-called "refutation" refers to the refutation of "What can I be beaten again and again", which should be connected with "do not say". Not only that, but also because of the very fearful mind, worried that he would be punished later, so with fear, and worried that he would suffer immediately, so he was overwhelmed, and he should be connected with "fearful mind". In order to show the fear itself, so it is said "This person I" and so on. It means that if I refute, I will think "This master may kill me", for this reason, so I don't say anything. Similarly, Bodhisattvas must also treat all insults like slaves. So it says "Similarly" and so on. "Abiding" means abiding like a slave. Why? It says "Like this from this" etc., that is, from this sentient being. The so-called "attaining Bodhi" means accomplishing Bodhi. The so-called "perfection of merit" means that the merits of the characteristics of Paramita will also be completely fulfilled. The basis of the perfect cause and effect of Bodhisattvas is sentient beings, that's what I think. The so-called "burn it" is said in this way, for example, the fire from grass and trees burns the grass and so on itself, similarly, the fire of arrogance and so on arises from which continuum, it burns itself. Because this is incompatible with the growth of the Bodhi seedling. Therefore, Bodhisattvas enter (the Bodhi path) after subduing the arrogance of sentient beings - so it is said.

Yes. Attachment to one's own happiness, abandoning one's own happiness and being without attachment, not looking for returns, like a mother, uninterruptedly engaging in the work of benefiting sentient beings. Having mentioned "one's own happiness" and so on, "diligence" means possessing the diligence to engage in order to fully ripen others. Mentioning "only son" is to show the mother's extreme love for him. "Like serving" means like making a living. "Abide" means abide. Not accepting weariness, being without weariness in mind is for the sake of engaging for a long time in order to perfect the accumulations. Having mentioned "which Bodhisattva" and so on, "desiring long-term samsara" means desiring to continue existence for a long time. Why? Having mentioned "for sentient beings" and so on, for the benefit of sentient beings and the purification of the Buddha-field, the diligent yogi possesses the diligence to perfect the accumulations, so he desires samsara, but he is not attached to the happiness of existence, this is the concluding word. Weariness in mind, even if one is able to do what is difficult to do for a long time, one does not possess the perfection of diligence, because the mind is overwhelmed by opposing factors. Having mentioned "unskillful Bodhisattva" and so on, "count eons" means counting in the mind "I must engage in this many eons." "Perceiving as long" means that the thought "I have undertaken this long time" is constantly present in the mind. "Suffering" is the concluding word for the mind of suffering. "Accomplishing enlightenment" means accomplishing enlightenment. "Lazy one" means that like this, practicing the perfections and so on with a weary mind, one will experience doing difficult things and feeling suffering, and in this way one will also lose the perfection of diligence, because one abides in bad weariness, this is what is said. Furthermore, which Bodhi-
