The term "skillful means" refers to being proficient in aspects such as accumulating great merit merely through thought, without any fabrication. The term "object of merit" refers to things like those just mentioned. The term "complete dedication" means to completely dedicate, because dedicating completely there is the cause for the enlightenment of the Buddha, that is its meaning. The term "overpower" means will overpower, it should be connected with the term "Bodhisattva." In order to illustrate how rejoicing overpowers merit through an example, the "wish-fulfilling jewel" and so on are mentioned. It means that, for example, even if a pile of wish-fulfilling jewels is very large, it will be overpowered by a single vaidurya jewel, because it (the vaidurya jewel) is the cause of perfect enjoyment and so on. Similarly, the Bodhisattva's rejoicing also overpowers the accumulation of merit of beings, because it (rejoicing) is the cause of the perfection of self and other's benefit, that is what is said. The perversion of the characteristic of Dharma is because it is the non-perverted nature, it is the opposing side of the perfection of giving. Its antidote is the realization of all Dharmas as emptiness, because through its (realization of emptiness) blessing, giving becomes the cause of increasing the accumulation of non-leakage. "If" and so on are mentioned. Among them, "not holding as one's own" means if, because of realizing all Dharmas as without self, one does not hold it as one's own. The term "not being stingy with things" means that stinginess is preceded by attachment to self, therefore it is thought that without it (attachment), stinginess would not exist. The virtuous Dharma itself, with its non-leaking nature, is the cause of abandoning all obscurations, therefore it has great power, the Bodhisattva who has that power is called "great being." "The cloudless, radiant, full moon" refers to the lunar disk that has light without clouds. The detailed classification of the peak realization has been explained. The difficulties of the gradual realization.

Explanation. The gradual progression should be explained. It should be understood that its characteristic is the gradual entry into generosity and other perfections in order to abandon the worldly attachment to reality, even though all phenomena are inherently without self. O Blessed One, how do Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas gradually proceed in the nature of all phenomena being without substance? From the point of saying, "Even if I attain complete perfect enlightenment, or even if I do not attain complete perfect enlightenment, all phenomena are only without substance, but after I attain complete perfect enlightenment, I will surely lead all sentient beings who engage in the perception of substantiality to be established in insubstantiality, and I will surely attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment." From the time of first generating the mind of enlightenment, one gives charity oneself and also individually establishes others in charity. These are extensively explained. Among them, understanding the gradual progression of the perfection of generosity means that by becoming accustomed to giving food and so on, oneself and others are completely matured. The words 'Bodhisattva' and so on arise from this. The so-called 'cutting off the going to the pretas' means that only in the stage of application, by not being attached to one's own wealth and so on, one abandons the going to the pretas. The so-called 'cutting off poverty' means that in all migrations, one effortlessly obtains abundant resources. The so-called 'cutting off all afflictions' should be explained in connection with the context, meaning that by meditating on the perfection of generosity that does not perceive the three spheres, in the stage of the path of seeing, one abandons all obscurations of afflictions. The so-called 'when practicing' means the meaning of 'when entering the Joyful Ground and so on.' Enjoyment is the characteristic of being the lord of Jambudvipa and so on. Limitless means that it leads to non-abiding nirvana. Extensive means that it is of many kinds and becomes nourishment for all sentient beings. The so-called 'transformed into suffering' is of two kinds:
