It speaks of the touch of supreme tranquility of the samadhi of the supreme state of Dharma, which is encompassed by samadhi. Because it is the very nature of singular virtue, it is samadhi, such as the Heroic Progress and so on. Because there is no distraction of grasping, it is tranquility. Because it is the cause of swiftly attaining perfect enlightenment, it is supreme. Touching them means that the Bodhisattva takes as its object the form of its own name and meaning, just as it is. Combining what was said above, in the extensive explanation of the Prajñāpāramitā, it is said: 'What is the samadhi called Heroic Progress?' That is to say, with whatever samadhi one experiences the realm of all samadhis, this is called the samadhi of Heroic Progress. It is like this that it is extensively proclaimed. These are the lesser excellences of the Dharma. To explain the intermediate, it is said: 'The Bodhi mind, whoever dwells here in self-peace.' and so on. 'Here' refers to the samadhi of Heroic Progress and so on. 'Dwelling in self-peace' is a synonym for the mind being utterly tranquil because there is no distraction of grasping thoughts. That is to say, it is the Bodhisattva of the supreme state of Dharma. Mentioning the Buddhas of the past is to approximate the meaning, because other Buddhas have also prophesied this. As it is said: 'Any Buddhas who now dwell in the ten directions also prophesy about those who abide in these samadhis.' The so-called prophecy is to clearly show that one will surely attain perfect enlightenment. The so-called absence of pride is a synonym for not manifesting the distraction of a bad state. To explain this very point, it is said: 'One should remain or rise in equanimity.' Because self-grasping is the cause of the arising of all faults, it is the characteristic of the distraction of a bad state. Even if one rises from this, it is shown to be completely non-existent because there is no manifest attachment. In order to explain the great excellence of the Dharma through questions and answers about this, it is said: 'Why is that?'

These have already been said. Why is that? If there is a "self," then the non-perverted nature of clinging to that "self" is not a distracted essence, so how would one think that it is completely insufficient? In order to completely abandon it, in order to completely understand the nature of the Dharma, these have been said. As it is said, if it has a "self," then clinging to the "self" in it, or being non-perverted in it, these two do not exist. Because form and other dharmas are to be cultivated, and the differences such as the cultivator are truly non-existent. And, in the state of the supreme Dharma, with faith as its essence, it is said because it reaches the ultimate limit. These states corresponding to the decisive part, because they have conceptual thought, are to be abandoned by the path of seeing, and are the same as the two conceptual thoughts of the grasper and the grasped. Among them, there are two kinds of conceptual thought of the grasped, that which depends on the thing itself is, through what is it known that aggregates and other things are merely spoken of. That which depends on the antidote is, through what is it that Prajnaparamita and other pure things are merely established as mind-only. There are also two kinds of conceptual thought of the grasper, that which depends on the substance of sentient beings is, through what does the aspect of clinging cling to the substance of sentient beings as real, mainly preventing beings and other things from being objects of view. That which depends on imputation is, through what does it distinguish that even mere imputation is not clinging. These should also be observed in order according to the four decisive parts. Among them, first, regarding the conceptual thought of the grasped, it is explained from nine aspects, so it is said "If you act like that" and so on. The so-called "like that" refers to the way of non-appearance shown in the state of warmth. The wisdom spoken of by the Tathagatas refers to generosity and other white dharmas, which are the nature of non-appearance, because it is the cause of obtaining the perfect Buddhahood, this is the concluding statement. This is conceptual thought about pure things. Object.
