Okay. After that, there is the continuity of the path of seeing, and the path of meditation. Sometimes, when meditating on the essential meaning, the mind arises in complete accordance with the truth of ultimate reality, so that these various things, not even as small as dust particles, appear. And thoughts of non-existence, etc., do not arise at that time. Like the manifestation when the eighth-ground Bodhisattva is urged. Sometimes, discriminating in the manner of remembering its wisdom, although not included by the discrimination of self-nature, it has a thick discrimination of its own nature, and gaps occur due to many antidotal discriminations, etc., this is an occasional situation. Then, the eighth ground is without appearance. Then, the other two grounds are with appearance. Then, starting from the uninterrupted path, the co-operative result of the first mind, the nature shown from the seventh ground arises and abides therein. Thus, how should we understand the sutra which says, "Not seeing anything is seeing the ultimate truth"? This is in terms of the first Bodhicitta and the uninterrupted path, etc., for those who have addition and defamation, not seeing anything is seeing the ultimate truth, this is grasped by negation, just as saying "not seeing the Brahmin" does not prevent seeing the king, etc. However, this is called seeing the self-nature of the ultimate truth. In terms of the immovable ground, etc., this is only negation, just as the literal meaning, that seeing is not even to the extent of being touched by the tip of a hair. The yogi completely abandons the obscuration of knowable objects, which is achieved through these two wisdoms. To say "do not do the slightest harm to those" is because there is no connection, because the knower and the known are self-arisen in ultimate truth, what effect does Mount Mandara moving and destroying have on the mountain breaker? We believe that in ultimate truth, everything is contained in the Dharmadhatu, so at the time of realization, we believe that one shakes everything, etc., but until that is realized, we only acknowledge the extent of what is heard. Form, etc., arising interdependently, is the true self-nature in conventional truth.

That which is called "non-manifestation" indicates that the manifestation is not clear. As it is said, "Therefore, those who speak of no self-nature, it is not because of manifestation." It is like that which is said. Then, how can these various things not fall into substantiality? The answer is: This should be regarded as the nature of selflessness, etc. This is illustrated in the sutras by the example of searching for the sound of a lute. If one does not make efforts such as tuning the strings of the lute, no sound will be produced, and even if one dismantles the body of the lute, one cannot find the substance of the sound, and eventually it will be interrupted. Similarly, the Tathagatagarbha, which does not fall into either samsara or nirvana, is extremely profound, and it is not merely form, etc. If these are abandoned, it will become non-manifest, and it will only be the realm of peace. Therefore, it must be completely abandoned. Therefore, one must understand that the nature of these is not something that can be said to be other or this. Thus it abides. In this way, just as an illusory elephant defeats another illusory elephant, if one sees reality without inversion, one will be liberated. The Bhagavan Maitreya also said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Like a magician, with illusion, defeats another magician, whoever sees the dharmas, those sons of the Buddha are without pride." The so-called "patience of knowing the Dharma of suffering" refers to firmly grasping the path of seeing, which means that that moment becomes strong. Having thirty-six aspects means that it becomes the antidote to that many conceptualizations. The arising one refers to the nature of the arising of such wisdom. The so-called "peak realization here" means that the path of seeing in the initial stages cannot easily eliminate so many conceptualizations, but in the later stages, one does not need to make special efforts to eliminate them, so they are eliminated here. The so-called afflictions of habit refer to the cause of those conceptualizations. In some cases, if one first destroys the cause, one will destroy the latent tendencies. For example, the power of cutting off the top of a palm tree will cause the roots to dry up quickly.
