And also connect with the remaining objects as appropriate. The remaining nine Bodhisattvas are related to the remaining eight objects. Some others think that these thirteen Bodhisattvas are unobstructed objects. "The conduct of a virtuous ascetic" refers to the truth of the path being the main thing, as it is said in the Abhidharma, "The conduct of a virtuous ascetic is the undefiled path." The so-called "unspecified bodily action" refers to manufacturing or eating food, etc., without a mind of benefit or harm. The so-called "four distinctions of two kinds" refers to the four pairs shown in the root text. Regarding "the ten powers as Dharma-nature," the ten powers themselves are Dharma-nature, because each power has immeasurable power, but if summarized briefly, the sutra says, "It has been shown as the ten powers," so one's own limbs are referred to as Dharma here. Others think that the main Dharma for becoming a Buddha is the ten powers, so here the term "Dharma-nature" indicates the main thing, and qualities such as fearlessness are indicated by the term "Dharma." Regarding "like that and so on," "like that" refers to the eleven kinds of objects. Mentioning "etc." is to approximately indicate the number of objects set as eleven kinds. In detail, since one can focus on all the characteristics of oneself and the general, it is shown as "all Dharmas," as it is said, "What the bodhisattvas do not learn, there is nothing like that.". How does one gradually focus? The so-called "how to gradually focus" means that by the power of different stages of realization, they are distinguished from the previous twelve objects as appropriate. Beginners focus with attachment to appearances, while the latter focus in the opposite way, which is the meaning of realization. Others think that all these thirteen Bodhisattvas first focus on virtue, and then gradually focus until finally focusing on the ten powers, this focusing is the order of realization. The so-called "for what purpose" means, for what purpose do these Bodhisattvas focus on such objects? That is, for what purpose do they practice focusing?

Yaro! The answer to that is, in order to make all sentient beings gradually become the best of sentient beings—Buddhas, one should keep in mind that this is the great Bodhisattva. With the order of these three great meanings as the goal, that is the meaning of the term "goal." If all sentient beings become Buddhas—the best of humans, then what is the most supreme sentient being among all sentient beings? This is considering the stage where each has not yet become a Buddha, so there is no fault. The goal is set because one sees those things that need to be done specifically, so first the goal arises, and then it arises through the power of those things that need to be done specifically. Therefore, the venerable one of the Noble Liberation Sect used the example of shooting an arrow into a quiver and hitting a target to explain these two based on the distance of time. If asked what its own nature is, since the mere term "practice" has appeared many times before, the meaning now is to please point out its essence, that is, the thing that has a name. The answer to that is, it is said, "The realm of the three omniscient ones," and so on. The meaning here will be explained as follows: The essence of practice that you asked about, in short, is of two kinds, how is that? Because the power of habituation has not yet been obtained, the four practices that are practiced from many paths are in terms of the first three stages, and they are established as the essence. Due to the power of long-term habituation, all virtuous deeds are summarized in possessing the support of the six perfections, and the six practices that can be practiced are practiced by the remaining four stages. To this, the venerable one said that the two practices are shown by the armor practice, and the remaining entering and so on is the first practice, because that is what he thought, so he teaches in a simultaneous manner. Others think that in the seventh stage, since one can practice completely with one perfection, "for the four Abhisamayas" should be "for the three." For the first three practices, such as armor, they are, in order, entering, turning into something special after entering, and realizing the attainment of the fruit. The last practice is complete.
