The explanation of 'function' means that this is the unborn nature. The so-called 'characteristic' refers to the nature of grasping with the mind as different entities for some differences of dharmas that are not different from that nature. Here, the characteristic of dharmas that are not different entities is also considered to be unborn. Therefore, nature and its characteristic are unborn. Apart from that, what can be expressed by the mind is only the imputation of the expresser and the expressed. The so-called 'with the meaning of non-artificial', being born together with nature, and non-artificial, are synonyms of the name. Therefore, it shows that the dharma nature of all dharmas is like this, not created by anyone. This third should be regarded as the reason. The so-called 'obtained by the transcendental path' refers to the wisdom of samadhi from the Extremely Joyful Ground, etc., the mind has no object, that is obtained, because that is inseparable from it. What is obtained after that is also called obtained because it is not separated from that traction. Showing that it is obtained by the transcendental path means that it is obtained by understanding all dharmas with the illusory omniscience. Omniscience refers to the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating. Even if that does not exist in the ultimate sense, it does not abandon the function in the conventional sense, so it is said 'like an illusion'. All dharmas are the dharma realm, because there is no such dharma existing apart from the dharma realm. Thus it is said. Obtaining is as before. In addition, obtaining the nature body, as the scripture says: 'The water element, gold, and space, etc., are thought to be pure as purity.' Thus it is said, the obtaining is established by the gate of separation, such as the example of obtaining freedom from disease. The non-discriminating wisdom that possesses dharma nature is established as obtained by the wisdom obtained from the aftermath. This can only be determined in this way, and cannot be done in any other way. The way to prove this with the direct perception of yoga is only this. Those who possess the conventional wisdom of dharma nature are established by the direct perception of self-awareness. That is also the subsequent inference.

I differentiate in the present way, and that is also related to the present manifestation. The sequential relationship of those is because the causes are the reason for doing things, and the results are the reason for dependence. Doubting the nature of those is dispelled by the reason of the nature of reality. Therefore, the way to ascertain the Buddha-land is to be accomplished by all four reasons, and it abides in this. Others say that this is accomplished by scripture, not by the path of reason, and they have spoken well. Some do not think so, because scripture is included in inference, how can one enter unimpeded by relying solely on scripture? What is called true conventionality is the appearance obtained after the transcendental wisdom, not the explanation of common terms for children in some scriptures, which is not adopted here. What is called appearance is merely appearance, and they do not have the power to be established as entities. Why is that? Because in the ultimate sense, the nature of reality has been spoken of, and it has been explained before that conventionality does not exist as an entity. If an entity is said to be a nature that is rational and capable of functioning, then those conventionalities cannot withstand rational scrutiny, how could it be so? Therefore, the Buddha-land, Samantabhadra, has completely purified all defilements of confusion, and from that, the structures of body and speech that appear, and all that is composed of sentient and non-sentient beings, in the ultimate sense, the very nature of reality appears to the trainees as different images according to their respective preferences. Who are those to be trained? The Buddhas are the first, and for them, the second Dharmakaya appears mutually. This first ultimate body is not the object of the wisdom of the Tathagatas' omniscient knowledge, because it has not become the nature of any object. The second Dharmakaya naturally appears in the infinite appearances of their wisdom, and there is no
