Ah, following wisdom, diligence, and faith, there is nothing that can be explained separately. Similarly, the general time, such as the so-called three countless eons, will definitely never change. The four antidotes are established by reversing, called the antidotes that abandon this and that. The term "apprehended conceptualization" should be understood as negating the possibility of imposing on the object, therefore it is explained as apprehended conceptualization. The so-called "for the sake of afflictions" means "for the sake of conceptualization." If one thinks that conceptualization is one, but how can it be nine? Then it is explained that "by the difference of objects." This fifth one is connected as a reason. The so-called "entering merely by not being related to things," things refer to those with names, that is, the object of how to recognize. Not related means that if those things existed as observed, then there would be a relationship, but since they do not exist, they are not related. Therefore, the so-called "not related" shows that conceptualization is merely four non-existences. The so-called "merely entering" refers to, just as someone enters to take a golden magnet in the sky because they ate Datura, it is an entry without a basis. Therefore, from the perspective of the uninterrupted path, it shows the wisdom of abandoning the baseless inversion. Taking each ordinary person as an object, clinging to that person as existing substantially, and taking the noble person as an object, clinging to that person as existing nominally, thus combining the apprehended and the apprehender. Among them, those ordinary individuals are called persons, following worldly fame. Those existing substantially are not like the power of having true conventional functions, such as the double moon. Clinging is thinking that this is true because it is manifest, and also because the scriptures say that the action of walking is also nature and difference. The noble person is one who has been liberated from suffering, and liberation from suffering is merely nominal, as it is said: Monks, these five dharmas are merely nominal, which five? The past, the future, nirvana, and unanalyzed cessation.

Those beings, they are merely names, as it is said. Such clinging, that is, thinking this is real, is established because the saying that this is merely a name has been established, and if even merely a name does not exist, who would strive in practice? Because of clinging to merely a name, one can also infer the existence of noble beings. Some might wonder, how could these become incompatible opposites? When these objects of the senses, that is, the meaning of what is taken, ordinary beings and noble beings, should be understood as they are, as imputed, because they do not exist as the nature of the object, the reason should be established in this way. First, in explaining the meaning of prostration, through measures such as one and many, it is shown that things do not exist in the way they are established, and by meditating on their essential meaning, neither samsara nor nirvana are established as mere illusions, therefore, how can clinging to them and the conceptual minds that have them as objects be established? This is (the author's) thought. Some people here say: If the object of grasping has no intrinsic nature, then what do they want to grasp with? Thus, what they grasp is the characteristic of emptiness of self-nature. The meaning of this passage is that the eighteen kinds of conceptual minds that grasp are objects, and the eighteen kinds of conceptual minds that grasp are subjects, thus combining the two categories of conceptual minds as object and subject, these people have not understood (the author's intention) at all. In order to refute this, the teacher said "should be taken", that is, the conceptual mind that takes the object as previously mentioned. If it is also a fault to merely think that noble beings are nominally existent, then nirvana is also like an illusion, like a dream. If there is a dharma that is more excellent than nirvana, then it is also like an illusion, like a dream, what is this about? This refers to the wisdom of non-meditative state, the manifestation of clinging is very weak. In the state of meditative absorption, even the conceptual mind that is like an illusion should be refuted, because if there is not even the movement of the mind, then why speak of words? As it is said in such (scriptures). How are there nine kinds of conceptual minds? And so on, this is according to what was previously shown, relying on each basis
