This is the basis or cause of samsara. Now, by understanding how to understand non-existence like grasping the basis, the understanding of the basis is shown. As it is said, focus on the nature of the antidote dharma, such as impermanence, and connect it with "the aspect dominated by it." As for "wisdom," all the paths and fruits of the Bodhisattvas are only mentioned at the stage of realizing wisdom, so it is called "wisdom," and it should also be connected with "its aspect." As for "aspect," the wisdom of the Tathagatas, from "all-aspect wisdom" in the way of praising virtues, here also mentions "aspect." "Aspect" itself is the one with many sixth-grade words. Thus, after showing the three "aspects," now in order to show what the nature of "aspect" is, it is said: "Establishing as aspect is the nature." First, as previously shown, it is temporarily stated that "aspect" refers to many differences. After that, in order to prevent different understandings of these differences, it is said that "dharma nature is the nature of one individual nature," thereby avoiding differences. Among them, the twenty-seven aspects of knowing everything are the wisdom of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who realize the selflessness of persons, which is the nature of that nature. The thirty-six aspects of the path-wisdom are the great wisdom of the Bodhisattvas who realize the two kinds of selflessness, which is the nature of becoming the great nature. The one hundred and ten aspects of all-knowledge are the wisdom of the Buddhas, the Bhagavadgatas, who know all knowable realms in an instant, which is the nature based on that nature. In the Buddha's lineage, the virtues of all the noble beings are fully accomplished, and it depends on the peaceful entry. Others, from the aspect of all-knowledge, the thirty-seven and thirty-four aspects included in knowing everything and path-wisdom, are established as the aspect of the cause of all-knowledge because all vehicles are the cause of becoming a Buddha, and in fact, the aspects of knowing everything and path-wisdom mentioned above.

It is said, "I-o." Here, in general, the name-basis and the name-characteristic are combined. In the case of all-knowingness, the sixteen aspects of the Hearers mentioned are the name-characteristics of their path of seeing and path of cultivation. The fifteen aspects of the Solitary Buddhas mentioned are the name-characteristics of their path of cultivation. The thirty-six aspects of the knowledge of the path mentioned are the name-characteristics of the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. The one hundred and ten aspects of the knowledge of all aspects are the name-characteristic of that single great non-conceptual wisdom. Furthermore, the thirty-seven aspects of all-knowingness taught there are the name-characteristics of the name-bases of the path of accumulation, the path of joining, and the path of seeing. The thirty-four aspects of the knowledge of the path are the eight liberations and the nine successively abiding meditative stabilizations, which are the name-characteristics of the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. Bodhisattvas, having seen the truth, and having exhausted the limbs such as meditative concentration, abide in them according to reason. The aspect of the path of abandonment is the name-characteristic of the uninterrupted samadhi. The path of the Buddha himself is the name-characteristic of the result. The remaining ones are as before. This is the way in which the nature of aspects is shown to be the name-characteristic through the door of name-characteristics and name-bases. If the nature of aspects is the name-characteristic, then what is the need to teach these? If one asks, "What is the difference between these and the ninety-one name-characteristics taught below?" The need to teach this is, first of all, that Bodhisattvas, having become fully accustomed to the wisdom of hearing and thinking, rejoice in their minds by knowing that there are fourteen qualities in meditating on the Mother of the Victorious Ones, and by wanting to obtain the qualities taught as such, they abandon the faults spoken of as such in a suitable manner. Then, having known the name-characteristics of the three all-knowingnesses, they think in their minds that they will abandon, accept, and obtain from those, and they generate roots of virtue that are in harmony with the aspect of liberation, and they generate heat and so forth in their continuums, together with the twenty aspects of joining that are taught. Then, one should cultivate the one hundred and seventy-three aspects in that order, which is the aspect.
