Understanding that is its own nature. You refers to the venerable Buddha. What is meant by considering emptiness is, what is empty of this? These relative truths are empty of relative truths, so the nature of relative truth is always empty of relative truth, so it cannot be expressed in any words. From this perspective, the sutra of the Noble Akashagarbha states that the nature of non-abandonment is also well quoted as being emptiness. Thus, in this Mahayana, there are three emptinesses: the emptiness of complete imputation, the emptiness of other-dependence, and the emptiness of all. How so? The discriminations of self and so on are only the core of evil discriminations, because they are never visible. Thus, this emptiness of evil discrimination is what makes the distinctions of the wisdom of noble Shravakas and so on superior. These impure minds and mental factors are called other-dependence, which is explained by Yogacharas and others. What it empties is all relative phenomena. The unexamined alone is delightful, and also the nature of arising and ceasing, the abilities that can function, one must recognize that their nature is relative truth. These are the things that are explained. Therefore, O sons of the Victorious Ones, how is it correct to say that these three realms are only mind? This is logically valid, because how would those who only see this shore know the relative truth? Merely by relative truth, they cling to I and mine, which is only everyday behavior. And that is only mind. Therefore, there, because of following other-dependence, it was said that way. Thus, when speaking of the ten causes of the formation of the world, some are shown to be relative truths. That the heat of the sun does not disappear is shown to be relative truth. Thus, this emptiness of other-dependence is its own characteristic, from the first realization of Bodhicitta, it holds the wisdom that includes appearance. In the realm of Samantabhadra Buddha, there is no place for evil discrimination in the manifestation of wisdom with appearance.

These are merely the reasons. Otherwise, if external objects appear to indicate external things, how can one avoid the fault of grasping and the grasper? If one says that the nature of inner consciousness is the appearance of external things, etc., then in these aspects there will also be the fault of self acting on self, etc., and for the Samantabhadra of the Buddha-field, if one thinks that the collection of appearances is the wisdom of self, etc., is meaningless, how can one avoid it? Therefore, the teacher Kālacakra and others mainly proclaim the conventional truth, while others only prevent attachment to each aspect by proclaiming the conventional truth. Then how would the two emptinesses taught in the Great Madhyamaka prevent attachment to each aspect? The third emptiness is taught in other circumstances. If one asks, "Is it not that everything exists?" then one should know that this is a question asked by contemplating the true nature of things and as a thinker of those who enter. The meaning of the rest is easy to understand, so I have not explained it in detail. The explanation of the third chapter is complete. Explanation of the Fourth Chapter Having explained the third chapter in detail in this way, now, in order to explain the meaning of the verses of the fourth chapter, it is stated, "The complete knowledge of the three omniscient ones," etc. Here, "complete knowledge" means to completely know by summarizing and expanding these three chapters, which contain all eight chapters, through the wisdom of hearing and thinking. "For the sake of control" means to generate it in one's own continuum through meditation, thereby gaining independence. Because the wisdom of hearing and thinking is unstable, merit is not independent, but independence is gained through meditation. Therefore, thinking that these three wisdoms should be connected, the noble Mipham said, "If one can see the meaning by merely hearing, then meditation becomes meaningless. If one can see the meaning by meditating, then hearing becomes meaningless at that time," etc. Also, in other places it is said, "Initially wanting to hear, approaching and respecting the teacher, with light and what is illuminated by light, the dharma of no self-nature."
