Furthermore, the arising of different conceptualizations is shown, which is easy to understand. Among what are called "those causes," the first cause is to connect beings with the path of seeing and so forth, in order to attain enlightenment. The second cause is to explain the Prajnaparamita in order to increase the path of seeing that has already arisen through the path of meditation. The third cause is to meditate on the meaning of the Mother of the Conquerors (Prajnaparamita) in order to definitely attain enlightenment, and thereby enable many beings to attain enlightenment as well. The uninterrupted cause is the actual cause of the Buddha himself, and by remembering it, not only will I alone attain enlightenment, but all sentient beings, far more than myself, will also attain enlightenment. The reason for showing the path of seeing as the cause of great enlightenment is that it is the main part of the cause. The path of meditation is also determined by it, and the heat and so forth are only for its sake. Cause and effect do not exist in the ultimate truth, because they are not established by valid cognition and so forth. The word "etc." should include the scriptural statements that have a definitive meaning. Some others think that "valid cognition" refers to the reasoning that establishes validity, and the word "etc." includes the remaining three types of reasoning and scriptural statements. The so-called "Dharmakaya and so forth" includes all four kayas, because they are completely free from the defilement of confusion and are the nature of suchness. The word "is" indicates the meaning of "because of what" or "just so." The so-called "because it is so, therefore" refers to the fact that the nature of the Dharmadhatu was previously like the sky, without arising or ceasing, or that it is shown only by virtue of this reasoning of Dharmata, because the Dharmadhatu has no exhaustion and no arising, so your view is not valid. The so-called "nature of one and many" and so forth, when the reasoning that establishes validity is said to be so, it means that this reasoning will harm you. Some people think that cause and effect are established by the valid cognition of dependent origination, and the word "etc."

That is like a vajra particle, and they think it is a summary to refute arising from the four extremes. "Which ones" refers to the Shravakas who are extinguished, and the Mind-Only proponents, because they do not belong to the nature of the Dharmadhatu, they will have cognitions such as "extinction is extinction." The Yogacharas say: "The water element, gold, and sky, etc., are considered pure as if they were pure." Because they acknowledge that the basis of purity is fully established, it is the ultimately real entity. We Madhyamikas have not even seen the existence of an ultimately real entity that can be pointed out with the tip of a hair, so we say that complete extinction and non-arising are suitable for us. "In order" means that what is born is the essence of obstructing it by exhaustion, and what is unborn is the obstruction by preventing it from arising again. In this way, being separated from the obstruction that harms the characteristics of what is born and unborn, those discriminations do not flow, which is the nature of Suchness, which is established as the ultimate truth by us Madhyamikas. Because you are not separated from those discriminations, you do not have the view of realizing the ultimate truth, and because there is no such reason, your path of seeing clings to the conventional truth as an ultimately real entity, and with that power, what is exhausted and what arises? Combine it like this. Because of that reason, what others consider to be a mother is another person's wife; what you consider to be the ultimate truth, we consider to be the conventional truth. This is how it is taught. Among them, "because it is empty of arising and destruction," etc., putting the reasoning of contemplating the essence in mind, this is already clear in the Madhyamaka treatises, so I will not think about it here. Mentioning "jewels and silver" etc. is to show that the object of that wisdom is a pure and pleasing example. Mentioning "etc." and giving many examples is like a person with pure eyes can see many pure things such as jewels at the same time, and taking them can bring benefits, the Bodhisattva who arises on the path of seeing, his object is all conventional things, like a fruit in the palm of his hand.
