Having done up to the stage corresponding to the part of liberation, up to the stage of forbearance. The second is from the heat stage of the Great Vehicle up to the peak stage. The second is the nature of the first ground. The fourth is the immovable ground. Thus, corresponding to the part of liberation, it is not certain that one will not regress from the Bodhi of the special vehicle, so it is not called irreversible. In this Great Vehicle, when the root of virtue that has become warm arises in the continuum, from that time onwards, non-retrogression from the Great Bodhi, from the realization of the peak, even in dreams, one will not desire the grounds of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, it will be so declared. So, with regard to the noble Hearers, in the Dharma Abhidharma and so on, is this corresponding to the part of liberation regarded as their non-retrogression? If not, why? Some say that because their wisdom and compassion are small, and their practice is short, even if the root of virtue corresponding to the part of liberation has already arisen, it is not necessarily guaranteed that they will not regress. Others think that, with regard to them, they will not regress from the Bodhi that is practiced for the sake of their own desired realization, but because it takes a long time to obtain it, it is only because it takes a long time to obtain it that it is not regarded as non-retrogression. If here, it is only a discussion about retrogression and non-retrogression, then who would argue about the length of time? Thus, the Bodhisattva who generates heat and the Hearers who are dull-witted and have many defilements, etc., whose manifestation is slow and difficult, etc., will also not become non-retrogressive. So what is it? If one makes the certainty of one's own continuum the main reason, then the root of virtue corresponding to the part of liberation can also be called non-retrogressive, but because there are no qualities that correspond to one's own realization and make others believe, therefore, and one is also certain that it is real, but there are also no easily confused signs of one's own certainty, therefore, since it has not become the basis for establishing terms, it has not been said anywhere that "this is non-retrogressive." Know that for those noble ones who have become free from desire, there will also arise various signs of heat and so on, which can determine oneself and others.

O! The so-called being skilled in generating within one's own continuum refers to focusing on the benefit of others being extremely thin. Bodhisattvas who have not yet attained warmth do focus on sentient beings, but they are still unable to equally regard themselves and others, nor can they exchange themselves and others. Therefore, how could they not regress? In terms of their own nature, some Bodhisattvas, due to lineage and conditions, become non-regressing even in the ordinary stage of the path of accumulation, hence it is said that prediction is received from one's own continuum. However, who can believe it when it is said to be non-regressing? "Is" means to firmly grasp. Regarding the so-called "non-nature of faculties," if the term "faculty" is used in the sense of being able to dominate, then on this path, it is not certain that one can destroy the opposing factors of disbelief and laziness, etc., because sometimes the opposing factors become stronger. The so-called "not all attain unsurpassed Bodhi" means not attaining it without interruption, but rather in a negative way, it has been previously explained that all non-ordinary beings will become Buddhas. The so-called "these are difficult to realize by dull faculties" means that the Madhyamaka of the Great Vehicle considers it difficult to realize, while the Yogacara school says that this is the extinction of lineage, like a burnt seed, and is slandering the Tathagatagarbha. The so-called "because it is the nature of Dharma" means that without a maker, the nature of things, like illusions, their illusory power cannot bear the burden of reason, it is merely established as such. What is the reason for this? No one can investigate, that is its meaning. This negates the reasoning of establishing validity through intellect. Regarding "arising in accordance with the part of ascertainment," here, each of these that are in accordance with the part of ascertainment can be divided into three types: small, medium, and large. For the time being, taking the stage of warmth as an example, equality is small. Loving-kindness and benefit, as well as the five aspects of being without anger and without harmful intent, are medium. The mind of parents, the mind of siblings, and the mind of children.
