Therefore, understand from the teachings. The so-called "corresponding to the part of liberation" means that liberation is to be free from the most coarse karma and afflictions, being thrown into the eight states of no leisure, and so on. From that liberation, warmth and so on are the path of application. This meaning is what the noble Vimuktisena said. Here, liberation is the characteristic of separation, and benefiting that part is called "corresponding to the part of liberation." Therefore, in the Abhidharma, it is said, "Liberation is not in the hair." This statement does not apply here. Saying "that part" is because it only benefits from one aspect. In reality, after obtaining what corresponds to the part of liberation, one obtains warmth and so on by studying the objects and aspects, etc., that have been shown as they are. Therefore, at the boundary between the general path and the specific path, even if one obtains one's own path, because it is included within it, it is said that there exists the connecting nature of entering into a superior place from the lower paths. The so-called "Iya" is as previously shown. The classification of this is that the noble Vimuktisena said great, medium, and small, and the signs that can represent this path are also not entering the mind, not being afraid, and not having regret in the heart. Furthermore, some say that this path is the nature of hearing and thinking. Others say that these are mostly the wisdom of hearing and thinking, but it is not necessarily denied that there is no meditative wisdom. Because the noble Vimuktisena considers the root of virtue corresponding to the part of liberation to be the nature of hearing and thinking. Therefore, it should be known that all of these are of the nature of hearing and thinking, because that is the cause of entering the teachings that are initially shown, so it is said, and it is thus determined in the path of application. So, is this corresponding to the part of liberation also established as irreversible, or not? For the time being, irreversibility is irreversibility from enlightenment, irreversibility from superior enlightenment, irreversibility from the supramundane ground, and irreversibility from no effort. Among them, the first is that irreversibility is common to the noble Shravakas.
