Moreover, this reason alone is sufficient. Otherwise, if external objects appear to be real, how can one avoid the faults of the apprehended and the apprehender? If it is said that the nature of inner consciousness is the appearance of external objects, etc., then there will also be faults such as self-nature acting on self-nature. Even in the Samantabhadra realm of the Buddha, if one thinks that the collection of appearances is the wisdom of self-nature, etc., how can one not think that this is meaningless? Therefore, teachers like Kālacakra mainly proclaim the conventional truth, while others only prevent attachment to one aspect by proclaiming the conventional truth. How can they prevent attachment to emptiness in the Great Madhyamaka? The third emptiness is taught in other contexts. If someone asks, "Is it not that everything exists?" then know that this is because he has in mind the nature of phenomena and then asks as an entrant. The meaning of the remaining parts is easy to understand, so I have not explained them in detail. The explanation of the third chapter is complete. Explanation of the Fourth Chapter Having thus explained the third chapter, now, in order to elucidate the meaning of the verses of the fourth chapter, it is stated, "Completely understanding the three omniscient wisdoms," etc. Here, "completely understanding" refers to completely understanding and expanding these three chapters, which contain eight chapters, with the wisdom of hearing and thinking. "Is" means "certainly." "In order to master" means that by cultivating, it arises in one's own mindstream, thereby gaining freedom, because the wisdom of hearing and thinking is unstable, so merit is not independent, but from cultivation it becomes independent. Thus, thinking that the three wisdoms should be connected, the noble Mipham said, "If one can see the meaning by merely hearing, then cultivation becomes meaningless. If one can see the meaning by cultivating, then at that time hearing becomes meaningless." etc. Also, from other scriptures it is said, "Initially wanting to hear, approaching and respecting the teacher, like light and what light does, self-nature does not exist."

Those who diligently practice superior contemplation and meditation on the Dharma will be enlightened by the Sugata himself, satisfying all sentient beings with meditative joy. By practicing such Dharmic qualities, one will quickly attain the state of Sugata. Thus it is said. Having meditated in this way, in order to become familiar, they are shown by meditating on the three omniscient wisdoms. Thus, what is the use of these teachings? If one can become accustomed to the three times of how one has heard in the past, what is there that one cannot accomplish? Therefore, again, one should meditate through the means of summarizing the all-knowingness, the path, and the basis. Thus connected, it will be shown as follows: The wisdom of hearing focuses solely on names and is of a highly elaborate nature, disturbing the mindstream. The wisdom of thinking is connected to name and meaning, and slightly condenses conceptual thoughts. The wisdom of meditation focuses solely on the meaning, is extremely peaceful, and is the nature of condensed elaboration. Therefore, this is a gradual method, gathering the impure states together into one, which is the method here. The three, such as the peak realization, should also be understood as being gradually condensed and shown due to the power of the differences in meditation from higher to higher. The so-called complete realization of all aspects, the aspects are the distinctions, meaning that in places such as the Buddha-land, it shows how many differences there are in the Dharma. The so-called all refers to all three omniscient wisdoms. Others, if they say that each of the three omniscient wisdoms is also all aspects, it is unreasonable because they have not been truly shown. The so-called manifestation is tending towards the present. The so-called perfection, is it perfection? Or is it truth? The so-called realization is understanding through meditation. Now, how many so-called aspects are there? What is the nature of the aspects? By what are those aspects established? In order to unravel these doubts, the aspects of the basis and wisdom are spoken of. Again, it is said that clinging to permanence, etc., and the "etc." that is said is the collection of happiness, purity, self, etc. Such clinging is the opposing quality, and it is also the main cause of children wandering in desire.
