From the arising of the mind of enlightenment onwards, the practice of cultivation included in the path of no interruption. This meaning was also stated by the teacher Shantideva: "If the mind of enlightenment is briefly summarized, it should be understood as two types: the mind of aspiring to enlightenment and the entering into enlightenment itself. Wanting to go and actually going, like the difference between doing and not doing. Therefore, the wise should understand the difference between these two in sequence." The teacher Palasangye Yeshe Zhap also stated: "All sentient beings on the ground of ordinary beings are said to be the mind of aspiring to enlightenment. From the Joyful Ground onwards, with the distinction of wisdom, entering into the nature of reality as it is, is the mind of entering into enlightenment." Furthermore, some say: "The power of friends, the power of causes, the power of roots, the power of hearing, from the habituation of virtue, the arising of the unstable and the stable, are said to be the mind generation taught by others." And it is said: "The perfect Buddha is greatly relied upon, the accumulations of merit and wisdom are greatly gathered, the non-conceptual wisdom towards the Dharma arises, therefore it is considered supreme." From the meaning of these words, abiding on the irreversible ground, and before obtaining these, are established as aspiration and entry. The first attainment of non-conceptual wisdom towards the Dharma is becoming warm, without doubt about the profound meaning. And it is said: "Even in dreams, all phenomena are seen as dreamlike, and so on." They say this. Now, like this, the mind that is equally endowed with the two mental factors of aspiration and compassion, arising with the object of sentient beings and perfect complete enlightenment, is the generation of the mind of enlightenment. Why, in the verses, is only the mental factor of aspiration shown as the meaning of generating the mind of enlightenment? Thinking about this, questions and answers arise, that is, "The very desire for perfect complete enlightenment is" and so on, the word "is" means "because of what." The rest is easy to understand. Furthermore, whatever is the nature of desire, that is what it is, connecting it in this way. The answer to this is that desire is also like an illusion, it is merely desire, it is not desire arising from clinging to something real, just like an illusionist.
