The empowerment that encompasses everything, which makes the task completely fulfilled, is the empowerment that is understood by mentioning the beginning. Following what was previously shown, the fact that all occasions are encompassed by the three aspects of omniscience, which makes the meaning completely fulfilled, is the empowerment for those of intermediate faculties. The division into eight occasions is for the sake of those with weaker faculties. The indication in the third, sixth, and eighth occasions is also a distinction of faculties, and all three are merely shown as empowerments based on different inclinations to like brevity, medium length, and elaboration. Others say, what is the need to give other names to this? If one asks, if that is the case, why is it not shown as it is shown in other scriptures of the Victorious Mother (Prajnaparamita)? How should one answer that? Therefore, it should be known that the meaning, names, and words here are just another way. Therefore, the teacher (referring to the Buddha or the Guru) wanted to explain it briefly, so he did not elaborate. Therefore, in this way, this is just another way, so one should not rely on other vehicles to refute it anywhere. This explanation is also spoken with this meaning in mind. Therefore, from the explanation and division of the verses, the path of seeing and so on are established incidentally, in order to teach dull and untrained disciples, by means of mastering the language of other regions and the words defined in other regions, just like learning by relying on objects. Making offerings to the Buddhas, etc., because they are worthy vessels, how to establish the non-returning ones, just this alone can make the meaning completely fulfilled, so there is no wrong term for this, it is just that they have not understood it themselves. Furthermore, the different ways of entering, such as meditating on ugliness, etc., shown here, are also because the faculties of those who enter are different, and their inclinations are also different, so it cannot be determined that everyone must enter in the same way as one person enters. How can this be determined? Therefore, meditating on ugliness, breathing, and mindfulness of the elements, etc., are all in the Sutra of the Abhidharma...

The initial stage of fully training the paths of application, etc., has been taught. Here, in the context of generating bodhicitta, it is encompassed by the third type of bodhicitta, the superior intention. In the context of virtuous roots that accord with the aspect of liberation, it is like this: the culmination of fully training the path of accumulation has been taught. Similarly, all objects of focus are included within the scope of objects of focus, and it is not exclusively determined as only the initial stage of the path of accumulation. As taught in the Dharmapada Sutra and others, what reason is there for prohibiting such determination here? Because the object of focus belongs to all. Likewise, apply it appropriately to others as well. If it is said, "Is this not taught as a very extensive category?" If so, then why are those teachings not taught here, such as the very concise teachings clearly taught in which the Buddha gathered the five dharmas, like a mirror, etc., and the teachings on the ten classifications of bodhisattvas, and the teachings on the twenty perfect offerings of the works of Mara, etc.? If you ask why those meanings are not expressed in words here, then I would also ask in return, why did they not mention the words of this Mother of the Conquerors, such as generating bodhicitta, etc., in those teachings? If you say it is in terms of meaning, then some are summarized by cause, some are summarized by result, some are summarized by companions, some are summarized by names, and some are not specifically elaborated, but are naturally included, so there is no point in arguing. Moreover, the scriptures are interconnected, like being bound by iron chains, so it is intended that what is not taught here can be found in those other places, and there is no fault in not teaching it. Furthermore, it is also because the dispositions and inclinations of the beings to be trained are diverse, as has been repeatedly emphasized before. In this way, it is good to speak well according to the order in which it is taught, but other conceptualizations remain close. Even though each aspect of the path of application, etc., is taught many times, if these are not completely separated by other methods in between, what is the necessity of teaching this? This is for the sake of those who have not heard it before, to fully explain it in between.
