All phenomena, such as form, are categorized as dharmas, and their realm is their own nature. For example, the nature of fire is heat, which is called the fire element. Fire and its realm, which is heat, cannot be distinguished at all, but it cannot be said that they are completely the same, because their attachments are different. Similarly, dharmas and their realms should be viewed in the same way. If this principle is well understood, just as all dharmas are limitless, their realms cannot be distinguished from other things. Therefore, it is said to be the characteristic of universally going awareness. So, on what should the name of this characteristic be placed? It is said to be the Joyful Land. Because it is in the first ground that one realizes in this way. Because it possesses this characteristic, in the subsequent wisdom, the nature is seeing the realm of dharma. Because joy arises, its name is said to be like this: being close to enlightenment, seeing the accomplishment of the benefit of sentient beings, great joy will arise, so afterwards it is called the Extremely Joyful. Saying this is just adding the names of other meanings together. If one realizes the realm of dharma in this way, why has one not become a Buddha? Because the work of offering to the Tathagata, such as doing it for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River, and other accumulations of merit have not been completed. Others' realization of the realm of these dharmas is merely the reason for being placed beyond the world. But that true and correct view is the unique vision of only the perfectly complete Buddha. If that is done, my Tathagatagarbha is very subtle, difficult to see and profound, and even the bodhisattvas of the tenth ground have not seen it. Saying this can also be considered a good quote. The word "etc." includes the second ground, the stainless ground, etc. The so-called order of realizing these refers to the fact that the order of these grounds is determined only by one's own realization, and there are no other forms, such as high and low distinctions like the realms of gods, etc. The so-called manifesting omniscience is the fundamental need of what is needed. The so-called omniscience is as shown from the last occasion.

And the nature of how it is taught from forms and characteristics, etc. That which will become manifest is, as it is taught from the perfect enlightenment of a single moment, through the four moments. That which is manifested by it is itself the need of the need, the nature of which is that the fruit is ultimate and excellent, and nothing can be found from it. Now, in order to show the need that is made of the words that precede it, as it has become the cause of accomplishing that need, what is easily understood by those to be trained is the need to compose the treatise. Combining it like this, this easy-to-grasp instruction, the action is easy to understand the meaning, and by that, the meaning of the mothers of the Buddhas will be easily understood by this, so there is indeed a need for easy methods. If you think about what the meaning of the mothers of the Buddhas is, it is mentioned that the characteristics of bodhicitta and practice, etc. Bodhicitta encompasses all three types of behavior, and practice is taking a part of the practice behavior. Therefore, these two characteristics encompass the essence of realization. Those are the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom that one wishes to realize and attain, and that is what is to be shown. Furthermore, if you think about why you generate the desire to realize, you should combine what was said before, for the sake of the need of the need, you want to realize and attain it, and this is what is said according to the order of meaning. As it is taught in this way, before, from what was said such as "the meaning of the need is summarized", the need and so on are taught, and now it is intended to explain the summarized meaning. Having stated the connection and so on in this way, in order to make it easy for those to be trained to understand, and so on, it is said. By first teaching the abbreviated content, just as a horse runs unhindered in the place of the text, the detailed content will not be confused later, so it is said for the sake of easy understanding. The fact that the treatise distinguishes the meanings is also because it is easy to explain without being mixed up, that is, even the explainers first understand the meaning, just as a person is a horse's driver.
