Entering into composition is like "thus the path of seeing," and so forth, and the meaning of composition is like mentioning "that which will be explained," and so forth. The enlightenment characterized by that which will be explained is Buddhahood itself. For others, it is for those to be tamed. The so-called "showing the path of seeing," and so forth, is because one has attained the path of seeing and the path of meditation. To establish is to give the mind of enlightenment, and so forth, to those to be tamed, which is one cause. Combine with the following. The so-called "solely the cause of enlightenment" is as the cause of one's own enlightenment. For them, it is for those to be tamed. True words and meaning are to show the Perfection of Wisdom, which is empty of artificial meaning. By the word "etc.," from that path, that gate, and that secret instruction, separately guide the true Perfection of Wisdom, and fully bestow the realm that is the nature of wisdom, which is the second cause. In order to attain enlightenment, for oneself to be without obstacles, this is the third cause. This is what is mentioned as "from oneself," and so forth. From oneself, that is, from oneself, arises great reverence, and so forth, or cultivating the vast Perfection of Wisdom, and so forth, whether it is hearing or thinking, and so forth, the merit that arises from this, which is the cause of purifying the mind, this is its characteristic. Thus, the three causes are shown. The so-called "for whose benefit," and so forth, when the wisdom of those whose defilements, such as afflictions, are exhausted and do not arise, transforms into the characteristic of non-discrimination, at that time it is called enlightenment. That Buddhahood itself, which is free from all discriminations, has previously been said to be conventional truth. If asked, "Is this similar to the internal heretics?" The answer is, "Because it is unpolluted and unborn, know it in order." This is what is said. Whenever, truly, because there is no arising of afflictions, and so forth, there is no exhaustion. When one knows "there is no exhaustion," it is the wisdom of the exhaustion of afflictions, and so forth. Also, whenever, because there is no non-arising of afflictions, and so forth, there is no arising. When one knows "there is no arising," it is afflictions, and so forth.

To know this unborn wisdom is the general meaning. The meaning of the verses is afflictions and so on, afflictions being desire and so on. What is to be known is all that is grasped, and these are the obstacles to true wisdom, hence they are obscurations, and because they are adventitious and the cause of the stain of ignorance, they are stains. Then, examining the nature of what is born and unborn, it is the inner heretics who truly manifest the desire for the nature of what is born and unborn. The Dharmadhatu is non-dual wisdom. If not for this, it is separate from it, why? Dharma, that is, form and so on, does not exist, as has been explained in the manner of the Paramitas. Because it is included in the category of Dharma, it is the nature of the non-dual wisdom of the nature of the Dharmadhatu, and like space, it is without support. Because there is no cessation and no birth, it is the afflictions and so on that are born, truly knowing the sign of the endless, which is cessation. Because there is no birth, it is the explanation of knowing the endless for the unpolluted. The nature of one and many is the nature of what has parts and the accumulation of minute particles. Cause and effect are merely names. Differentiating these things, the Dharma, is valid cognition, which is separate from the nature of one and many, and there is no cause and effect of existence and non-existence and so on. The word "etcetera" includes the distinctions of knowledge such as the first, and all such as one side, are in accordance with and not in accordance with the faults of obscurations and so on. Thus, the true nature of things is reasonable. Because there is non-existence, that is, because it is not in accordance, it is because there is non-existence. Like a lotus in the sky, because there is no cessation and no birth, that is, because things themselves do not exist, the unborn ones, such as afflictions, are truly with the wisdom of eliminating the sign of birth, because there is no birth, it is the explanation of knowing the unborn. That is, it has been stated in such order, and in order
