Its antidote is the path, therefore, for the two (the grasped and the grasper), with their classifications, each one is ninefold. From what does it arise? "By the distinctions of ignorance and aggregates, etc." This means by the distinctions of ignorance, etc., and the distinctions of aggregates, etc. The meaning of the verse is "the grasped," etc., that is, "with the support of pervasive defilement and the support of the antidote," which means that attachment, etc., are supported by pervasive defilement, and the mind of enlightenment, etc., are supported. "The ground and its antidote." This is the meaning. "The grasped discriminations are twofold." This has already been explained. "By the distinctions of ignorance and purified aggregates, etc." means by the distinctions of ignorance, etc., and the distinctions of unsurpassed form, etc. "Ignorance," etc., has already been explained. "The grasper discriminations are twofold, namely self, etc." has already been mentioned. "The support of substance and imputation." This means that it should be understood that the grasper residing in the person and the individual is considered to be twofold. "Likewise" means that each one is also ninefold. From what does it arise? "Self, etc., independent entity with." This means in the manner of viewing self as independent, etc. "Aggregate, etc., support" is because it is focused on aggregates, sense bases, and elements, etc. The meaning of the verse is that because some are imputed by some, therefore it is substance, namely the person. Because it is merely nominally imputed, therefore it is imputation, namely the individual. Focusing on it is its object, etc., this is explaining "substance," etc. Because it is focused on aggregates, etc., with self as independent, therefore it is the object of self as independent and aggregates, etc. This is explaining "independent," etc., and "likewise," etc. Here, the concise meaning is that although there are many things to say, concisely speaking, the meaning of the four discriminations should be explained. First, the two discriminations of the grasped, namely "the grasped," etc., has already been mentioned. Among them, the support of the four pervasive defilements is attachment, etc.

Abiding in peace. Ignorance is not knowing. The aggregates such as form are form and feeling, etc. Name is the four non-form aggregates such as feeling. Form is the form aggregate. Attachment to these is attachment to name and form. Attachment to the two extremes is attachment to the extremes of permanence and annihilation. All afflictions are due to desire, etc. Purification is nirvana. Not abiding in the noble path is attachment to the path of seeing, etc. The object of focus is attachment to form, etc. Self, etc., are desire and perceiving things differently, etc. Generating purity, etc., is not generating the purity of the three spheres, which are the three purities of true purification. Among them, it is abiding on the path of the antidote to the conceptualization that is the nature of the object of grasping. Aggregates are the aggregates. The gates of birth are the sense fields such as the eye. The kinds are the eighteen elements. Birth is dependent arising. Emptiness is selflessness. The meaning of going to the other shore is Buddhahood itself. The paths of seeing, meditation, and no more learning are three, among which, the conceptualization that is the nature of the object of grasping is those. Some say that among them, the all-ground is only the first conceptualization of grasping, and only the ground of purification is the second, so these are the differences between these two conceptualizations of grasping. If it is done like that, then whatever the first conceptualization of grasping is, the second is also that. It is said to show the former, temporarily whatever the first is, the second is also that, thus the all-ground initially becomes the conceptualization of grasping, but the second is not the first, thus the second conceptualization of grasping relies only on purification, so they say. Others say that the difference between these two is that, others with the meaning of analytical observation, the first relies on the ground of all afflictions, and the second relies only on purification, so they say. Now, the conceptualization of grasping is said to be called grasping, etc.
