The utmost purity is the absence of defilement, both internal and external. To become the characteristic of being devoid of inherent existence is to attain the state of having no self-nature, without grasping at an essence, and so forth. What is the self-nature, the very essence, of mindfulness and so forth, which are the essence of illusion-like non-dual wisdom? It is the essence of non-arising. This essence of illusion-like non-dual wisdom is the body of the Thubpa Buddha, the Bhagavan, and it is connected to the previous statement. The cause of becoming the essence is the mention of non-artificiality and so forth. The so-called transcendental path is attained through the means of the eightfold realization of the realm of activity of the fully enlightened ones and so forth. Here, because there is no hearing, it is made into the object of conventional truth. This is the concluding statement. The so-called 'not made' means that it is not attained by generating it through the path, like the Nirvana of the inner and outer heretics. Therefore, by the meaning of non-artificiality, because it is unborn, it is the Dharmakaya. If that is the case, in your own school, the body and the path, existing as object and subject, both of them are not without the reality of cause and effect. Therefore, since it is the fruit of the path, how is the Dharmakaya accomplished? It is mentioned as 'consciousness' and so forth. Whatever is realized and seen by the consciousness, which is to be aimed at by illusion-like consciousness, and all the phenomena of the mind that are empty of inherent existence, such as mindfulness and so forth, is what is attained by wisdom. For the external observers, since both exist, it is reasonable as the nature of object and subject, and the reality of cause and effect. But here, one should act like an illusory person. As it is said, in reality, because there is no object and subject, it is not the object of the path. Therefore, even if it is its object in conventional truth, how can the Dharmakaya, which is not the fruit, become non-artificial? This is how it should be understood. Are the three bodies different from the Dharmakaya? It is said, 'the remaining bodies.'

It mentions "etc." The remaining body is different from the Svabhavikakaya. The three bodies are called Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. What appears in the true conventional truth is the realm of the wisdom of Samadhi. In the ultimate truth, the nature of Dharmata, because there is no object and subject, there is no grasper, etc., it is the nature of non-duality. The so-called "how to distinguish by faith" refers to what arises without exceeding the manifest attachment of practice, which is established as the realm of the Svabhavikakaya, or the name of its fruit, but in reality, it is not another entity. This is a concluding remark. If it is examined that the Svabhavikakaya is the nature of one wisdom, then how is it known that the fruit or its nature is threefold? The so-called "how to distinguish by faith" is what it means. To clarify this meaning, it is "Buddha," etc., which is to show that it is the realm practiced by Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Shravakas. To explain the meaning of the three bodies such as the Sambhogakaya, even if it is not different from it, it is said that "there is no difference from the Svabhavikakaya, but it is still established as another entity," thus expressing by distinguishing the three bodies, which is the difference of the three bodies. If asked, is it another entity or a non-other entity? If it is a non-other entity, there is no difference. The answer is that the absence of difference is what is said by "from the system," etc. The so-called "from the system" means that it is known by those who speak of reason, so it is reason, it is said from the treatises of reason. The so-called "for what reason" means for what reason? "From the one with no difference, it is not hoped that the absence of difference itself is a different entity," meaning that from the one with no difference, it is not hoped that the absence of difference is another entity, that is the absence of difference itself. If asked, what is absence of difference? That is absence of difference, that is, elimination. Elimination itself is non-existence, but in the conventional truth, because there are things and differences, it is called having difference, only Buddhas think so, others do not think so, so here too it is thought that the three bodies are other entities like vases and cloths. That is what is thought. The so-called "thus" etc. refers to the Dharmas such as the Bodhipakshika.
